"The decomposed body of Erin Corwin was pulled from an abandoned mine shaft, where her remains were discovered 140-feet down by investigators on Saturday."

LORE HEAVILIN, ERIN`S MOTHER: I don`t really know where they`re coming up with three months, because the pregnancy was just confirmed
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1407/22/ijvm.01.html

If she was 3 wks, that wouldn't happen. 3 months it probably would. Remember the uterus increases in size as well. They can tell by the vasculature if the body isnt too decomposed.

"occurs very rarely"

I completely agree she may not be exonerated. However, I think perhaps she believes she will be.
They could easily determine a pregnancy right away. But I am not sure after this much time has passed.

Evidence may or may not exonerate her, I doubt his word has much value, jmo. Even a confession has to match the facts.
As far as pregnancy, I find it hard to believe they cannot determine if she was in fact, pregnant.

I used to drive a boyfriend's 1998 Jeep Cherokee and it looked just like that (only we didn't have the big tires)

After viewing the YouTube video posted earlier, I found this pic under a Pinterest account with the name Chris Lee/chrislee6:

Probably unlikely this is the same CL (who goes by the online name akdefender) but there are eerily similar interests.

Found this too few days ago when the posts about CL's financial situation and whether he was frugal or not: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/showthread.php?p=528787. CL is akdefender. Apparently he had $25k to burn in April of this year!

Lastly, in case this hasn't already been posted while I've been fighting with technical issues, the '97 jeep mentioned in the SW is supposedly this one pictured on the left: http://www.cbs8.com/story/26058825/...ine-wife-continues-new-warrant-details-emerge

If the pregnancy was just confirmed on father's day, she most likely would have been at least 4 weeks by then, so at least 6 weeks by time of death. At 6 weeks you may not be able to determine anything.

Not that we are aware of....so far it's just the one

Well the rumor was that Jon found out about the affair earlier (feb?) and she promised to drop it. then she started it up again, so I can understand the confusion.

3 weeks is not possible. It would not show up on a pregnancy test. If she confirmed on father's day, she would have most likely been 6 weeks at a minimum (since father's day was 2 weeks prior to death)

So it's going to depend on the age of the fetus. Some news reports keep saying 3 weeks, others say 3 months. If it's 3 months, Lee can be charged with a second murder charge.

I was just doing a little research on Joshua Tree Park and the Rose of Peru mine. I guess because i am from New Hampshire that i never realized how many their actually are and that they are just left open like that? The Rose of Peru itself is 150 feet deep. Is this land owned by the government? This is hard to watch as it made me cry but so that anyone like myself who does not have a clue about these mines wants to get a better understanding, I found these pics, actually taken in the rose of peru mine... http://www.undergroundexplorers.com/joshuatree6.htm

Thanks. You've convinced me. They did do great work.

MOO LE didn't lie at all. They stated to the media that they have not "identified" or "named" any persons of interest or suspects and, up until their press conference at noon yesterday, they hadn't. Having cell phone pings putting CL in an area of the desert on Saturday and finding electronic interest in a specific area of the desert would not have meant much if they didn't then also locate the crime victim in that area. Finding Erin was crucial and I, for one, am not going to criticize the men and women who worked their butts off to find her. I would feel differently if there was a serial murderer on the loose and LE was being tight lipped about it but I think we can all agree that the general public wasn't at risk of entering into an affair with CL and ending up pregnant with his baby during the course of LE's investigation of Erin's disappearance.

I considered as well that NL was helping LE. Here is my big (huge!) problem with that: If she did indeed think her husband had murdered someone, was completely innocent, and was willing to help LE, I cannot fathom how she would have allowed him to live with their child while the investigation went on. This, to me, is very damning.

Maybe the witness is his wife and/or ranch lady. After all, according to the Probable Cause Statement, it was NL who told them the 22 rifle was at the "ranch" and NL seems to be the first to mention a 22 caliber rifle (as far as we know at this point anyhow, according to Probable Cause Statement). Maybe, just maybe, she (NL) has been cooperating?? Thoughts?? Please don't throw tomatoes at me, I know I'm probably giving her credit where credit isn't due but it was just a thought.

ETA: Just to make my thoughts clear, I do NOT think NL was an innocent bystander. What I was trying to say is, to try and save herself, maybe she decided to help with the investigation. However, I DO think she played a part in Erin's demise.

Maybe NL was around the child at all times when CL was present?

Gee, I was about his age the last time I ever saw $25k in my bank account. Then I discovered the world of kids. Ha!

You know, it could be mere coinkidink, but it seems the Lee's were active at this dude ranch before Erin was. And it seemed to be an activity they both shared together. And then it seems Erin comes along and starts hanging out there as well even tho her hubby didn't want to go. Sure seems like she was trying hard to chase after this loser. Maybe in her world coming from small town TN, $25k was a ton of money. And he was a complete scumbucket. Too bad she fell for whatever it was he was waving around.

I believe that information came from IM, I will try to find a link. However, I checked, and the license plate # from the search warrant early in July and the license plate # for the jeep in the recent arrest warrant match.

GHP564

The license plate matches up with the image of that taken in the parking lot too (http://www.cbs8.com/story/26058825/...ine-wife-continues-new-warrant-details-emerge)

I still can't seem to see the maroon in this pic, but it is shaded so that is just my thought.

I don't think it's necessary to contact the sheriff's office over that video. It was taken in 2012 and the haircut and facial hair are not Marine Corps approved, so highly unlikely it is CL. The video was made by a group of offroad enthusiasts doing recon before their actual trip planned for fall of that year.

BBM: It definitely is not Chris Lee. I contacted the group (via FB) and asked if anyone knew who it was. After a little back and forth messaging and posting a picture of CL, the person said "It was definitely not the man who killed Erin Corwin".

The Rose of Peru mine is actually 250 feet deep. sorry for the error. still learnin....

Well, it's a mining district, that might be the depth of it's most prominent mine, another mine in the district can still be called Rose of Peru and be 140ft deep, at least I assume that's what they meant when they said mining district.

^^BTW I could tell right away that guy wasn't Chris. Way too old. At least thirty.
