Wow, Daisy......interesting post & thank you for sharing. I've never been around anyone that was in the throws of a her*in addiction--what are they like & what do they do.....if you don't mind? I'm curious about their personality symptomology.

Yes, and this epidemic is the scourge of our society. Frightening & sad.

I have lost a handfull of childhood friends to it, one just as recent as April of 2016. They essentially do not care about ANYTHING except the drug. It is pure tunnel vision. You could hang heaven in front of their face and they would still choose a blue baggy. I tried to help the friend who died in 2016 when I last lived in ATL - tried to lock him up in my house and make sure he had no contact while kicking the habit. He would kick it and then go right back. Im pretty sure he stole some items when I was trying to help him which is sad b/c he would never do that sober. They have this look in their eyes as if something sucked their soul out when they dug that syringe in. It is a very SCARY look. Predatory almost, but like a rabid sick predator. If they have just taken a hit they can go in and out of consciousness or "fall out" for a few hours. If you have seen trainspotting that movie is a very accurate depiction of what a junkie is like and what their lifestyles are. It is as if they are possessed and whatever is in them can only be fed with that drug. That thousand mile stare.

Then you see them when they are sober and your heart breaks as you realize they are just a human who made the wrong decision and it ruined their life.

I have another friend who recently kicked the habit after finding out he had a baby on the way. That little girl is his world and her mother as well. I pray he continues to be strong. You never know with this drug though.

But as far as Alix is concerned, I never knew her directly. She would comment this about Warren a few months before the Google Execs death. Did she get an idea from the tragedy that happened to Warren? I happen to think given her likely connection to Roepl's death prior to this comment and her involvement in Hayes death after this comment says something about her as a person. Very manipulative and trying to look innocent?

"Posted by Alix Catherine TichelmanI used to date Warren when I was 18. Apparently he even went as far as to blame me for his heroin use, which makes zero sense since we never did drugs together, and I wasn t even living in the US when this all happened.Bottom line this story didnt surprise me. Warren always had a "God complex", he thought he was smarter than everyone else. And in this instance that attitude costed somebody their life. Very sad."

Me thinks somebody is projecting their own demons onto someone else hmmm. BTW I love the grammar nazi who eviscerated her a little further down in the comment thread.

No problem and thank you for listening! Drugs ruin lives. Period.

This hit the news here in Atlanta this week:

On Monday, the Fulton DA issued a press release revealing that it had indicted Tichelman several months ago for her role in the death of Dean Riopelle, a Milton resident and former owner of the Masquerade music club.

A Fulton County grand jury indicted Tichelman on Sept. 15, 2017, on two counts of felony murder, distribution of heroin and distribution of oxycodone.
Canadian woman indicted in overdose death of Masquerade owner

Plus, two other articles discussing same.
Ex-escort convicted in Google exec's drug death may be extradited in ex's 2013 OD
Georgia woman indicted in second overdose death

Highly unlikely that she will be extradited. In order for extradition to be approved the alleged crime has to be a crime in Canada as well, and Canada does not have a felony murder law like those in the US. You can't be extradited for something that is not a crime in Canada.
