ITA -- Who knows what may have happened throughout the course of their day that LR didn't realize was important. Sometimes it takes outsiders looking in to find those important details/clues

What if the kidnapper turned out to be a pedophile who was working or visiting the salvage yard?
Exactly!! And again, if it were my child, I would want LE to investigate every possibility and find my child!!

(bolding mine)

How can it be both ways? I was under the impression from previous statments that Hasanni and the toddler were left in the car while he was looking for parts. Now how could he have Hasanni with him the whole time, especially if they were walking around the salvage yard? And, yes, that would also mean the toddler was left in the car alone!! :waitasec: This is making less and less sense!! MOO

Maybe he left the kids at home while he went to the salvage yard (where no on would take two small kids even if they were allowed which they aren't for liability reasons) and something happened while he was gone?

I have to think one of the business owners in that building has a security cam, they are so cheap now. I just cannot imagine they don't have him on film either in the parking lot or at an intersection light without Hasanni in the car. The salvage yard would have one, between stealing, vandals, and injuries a chain like that has to have cameras?

Why is Ross complaining about the questions and time spent with LE anyway? Do they have something more important to do than find Hasanni? Yeah! I know, I shouldn't be sarcastic but this should be about Hasanni not Ross' hurt feeling and outrage.

I guess retracing made sense to him but not necessarily the searching of ... I'd never thought of someone following them.

Is anyone keeping track of a timeline? If there is a thread, please let me know.

ETA: For some reason I was thinking that the salvage yard visit was in the a.m., then LR went home, then he went to drop off kids.
I'm not really sure what time he was at the salvage yard, if he went home or directly to the shoe store. MOO

ITA. I don't like this attitude that a lot of people have that investigating the guardians takes all of LE's attention away from the rest of the possibilities. I trust that LE covers other bases, even when they suspect the parents. MOO.

And I would like to hear the results of the LDT, admissable or not!

Ross told KTVU he has been voluntarily speaking with police daily and that on Friday he retraced his steps with investigators, showing them the auto salvage yard he had driven to with Hasanni hours before the boy disappeared.

This is what made me wonder whether Aaliyah was with them. But it could just be the way it's being reported.

Well, according to LR, the salvage yard is not important because the last place he was seen was in the driveway/alley ... I saw him on the TV saying he would not question why police were searching there, that it was not his place to tell LE how to do their jobs, but he wished they would focus on the last place he was seen (I paraphrased that).

Well, of course he does!

There are supposedly witnesses at the salvage yard who say Hasanni was there and heard him crying. Good point about the cameras though!

Thanks so much for your insight about the neighborhood where Hasanni supposedly went missing from. I thought the same thing, just looking at the photos our wonderful people here have posted. What I especially noticed was the lack of parking space for the "perp" and the number of windows around that alley. I don't think we're getting the whole story either. MOO

Panthera, you are absolutely right. Most of the parking on College is timed parking (which is usually full) or you have the choice of 2 hour lot parking behind the businesses/restaurtants. I just think it would be too "perfect" for a perp to happen to find parking as well as just happen to see Hassani left alone for such a short period of time and then to make a quick getaway. All too quick for me! I'm not saying that it couldn't happen....just saying it probably didn't! Praying for Hassani's safe return!~

If kids aren't allowed there (as, I believe Noway explained), why didn't someone talk to him when they heard the child crying, at least to tell him to leave?

snipped

Last I heard Ross had no criminal record/legal problems & couldn't even be personally traced on the web (gf either) so this really  me!

Hi amysmom: He seems to have plenty of legal problems...

Ross was the target of at least 3 civil suits:
one by the State of Maryland
one by a company in Va.
one by a company in Maryland

3 different judgements were lodged against Louis and his business. His business had the same address as where he lived indicating he worked out of his residence. (info about the civil suits is posted on the prior thread).

Named in the judgements was Ross and his business 'L & R technical Consulting', a company that I can't find anywhere and probably no longer exists..I searched everywhere. Don't know if he went bankrupt, sold his business, or skipped town but one thing is for sure - when you are sued by the state, you don't usually walk away free.

Another blogger found a record showing Ross was found guilty of 'failure to care for animals' a charge that makes one shiver. That charge was in Va., a black male with the same birth date as Louis, and same long formal name. Doubt it's a mistake. mho

Considering he lives in a home worth about $750K that is in Jennifer's name and drives a BMW one wonders about his ability to be financially responsible and if Jennifer isn't being used. Makes me wonder if money isn't the driving force behind what he does. ALSO, when you fail to take care of animals, how and the heck are you going to care for children? AND why is he studying to become a medical assistant? The fact that four different people have brought him to court shows me his inability to get along with others, inability to manage finances, and inability to care for the living...imho, he could have done anything with and to that beautiful child.

Because a lot of the time, what they tell you is company policy and what is practiced are a world apart.

Anyone think a certain somebody could be an, ummmm, pharmaceutical engineer?
I'm a recovering addict. I've had that title since 1989 when I gave up the title 'coke addict.' I was a real winner, lemme tell ya! A certain someone's life sure seems to be a mirror image of the guy I got my stuff from. The similarities, based on what we've seen here, would scare you. And 'my' guy never did get caught. He was that d@mn good. He never touched the stuff personally and he didn't use it either. It was a business to him just like any other. The highlights? He was a super handsome black man. Educated, intelligent, well dressed..the works. Lived WAY beyond what outsiders would perceive as his means. He drove a black BMW with a shine that would blind you. The girl he 'lived with' was considerably younger, not 'all there' and had two small children. She was his cover and he paid all of her bills and other expenses in order to blend in and make himself appear normal. His whole life was a lie that he bought. He had no job and he was going to school to be a medical assistant. He was 38 back then. He had no criminal record with the exception of minor traffic citations. His stash was kept in abandoned cars on other people's property who had no affilation with drugs of any sort. This guy reminds me so much of that guy it's freaky so I have to wonder. Somebody over there obviously has money. At least, more money than a shoe store employee and a student.
I come from a family of cops. Therefore I have first hand knowledge of the fact that LE couldn't touch 'my' guy. No one would DARE testify against him, not because we were afraid, but because we all, in our drug induced stupor, really liked this guy.
Notice that NO ONE seems to be coming forward with information about Ross? No relatives, no friends, previous neighbors, business associates, school friends....nothing. Surely that in itself has to indicate that something is very wrong.

Thank you for posting this - I couldn't remember the name of the company - LWR has a troubling past.

Thanks for the additional information. I just can't see this happening, mostly because predators usually hang out at places where children are easily accessible, like parks, playgrounds, shopping malls, and whatnot. This just seems too much of a coincidence. MOO

Which would go back to the original story that the children were left alone in the (very warm) car at the salvage yard ~ imo.

I'd still love to see the video tapes, though. You know that place is covered tightly. It'd be interesting to see where he was parked and how far he was from the car, where the children were, and what his demeanor was. We can tell by his demeanor if he seemed to be truly looking for a part, or just solidifying an alibi.

Also, I'd like to know if LE has confirmed if he really was working on an older car.

nope, I didn't need the news to tell me that one. Twas a bit obvious from the video. If her demeanor hadn't told me, the rest of the video would have.
The broken blinds from paranoids yanking on them too hard to see outside.
The generalized mess, with the exception of a big clear spot in the middle of the room so that everyone can stand together.
The only thing of value in the apartment in plain view so that it can be watched.

More something that you can't see, something in her thought processes, something in the way that she looks at the cameraman, she is almost giving all of us (The public) a look of "How stupid can you be?"

I almost know what it is, but not yet. I hope she does another interview, I want to know what's going on in her mind.

Hi not_my_kids, I hope it didn't sound like I was underestimating your sleuthing talents!! Sure wasn't meant that way. It just seems like her drug problem has not been mentioned here a lot, as far as how it might play a part in what happened to Hasanni.

I couldn't tell if the way she looked at the camera was a result of her having CP, or what !! In a way I wondered if she was enjoying being on camera?
