A story on Thursday's Metro page incorrectly stated that Antonio Anabo would donate half the proceeds of a Saturday fundraiser to Hasanni Campbell's foster parents. Half the proceeds actually will go to the reward fund for the search for Hasanni.

Has anyone else noticed in interviews with LR and JC, they seem to sit apart and don't really seem to provide any comfort or support to each other, as you'd see with most couples who are in the same situation who might hold hands, put an arm around the other's shoulder, etc etc. Almost like they are completely disconnected from one another? Just an observation.
I also wish they could have shown JC's face in that 20 minute "raw video" at their house the other day (interview of July 20?). The camera concentrated more on LR.

If there was a homeowner's association there might be a community type swimming pool. Just guessing.

I was just wondering about the pool to see if an accidental drowning was possible. Just wondering. Guess not.

Well, according to him, just 10 days before Hasanni disappeared they were going to break up. Even before this happened it didn't seem the best home for the two children, imo. :(

There is a community pool a few streets away. It seems pretty far for him to go, but you never know. Plus, if he drowned here behind the clubhouse in the middle of the day, I don't think Ross could keep it secret.

That's true. There's no reason to expect them to show any signs of togetherness in this. Not a great situation to bring another baby into, either.

This is a catch-up post so I'm afraid it's going to be long. All of it is just my opinion and is subject to change.

The car.
It really seems to me that LE must have asked him to move the car. Otherwise, I have to think that LE and the media failed miserably for failing to notice. (If LE had noticed it, LR would be on TV with his explanation already).

The house (stairs, naps, and leaving them alone).
All kids are different.

My son was out of his crib at about 18 months. My daughter didn't try getting out of her crib until she was 2 1/2.

But you don't expect it until it happens and there is no way you could leave an 18 month in the house without an adult and be sure nothing was going to happen. Same with a 5 year old. (This is a red flag for me and I think at this point, I am going to need Hasannni on video somewhere for me to believe that this isn't where something went wrong.)

I agree that he only confessed to leaving them at home because he realized the cameras in the drive-through would capture his car, and it would be obvious that no children were with him.

Did I read that he went to the bank in the morning? I sure would like to know what time that was. And if the kids were napping (or were asleep from the night before).

Again, I know all kids are different: My daughter stopped napping at 18 months; my son continued to take naps until he was almost 5. But I know there were times when my son, who was a regular napper, did not take naps and I could not have relied on him staying asleep while I ran to the bank (even for "5" minutes).

And it may just me, but I don't think LR has a good grasp of time. I live in a teeny town and my bank branch is literally 5 minutes away by car. It is possible that I won't encounter another car along the way. But I've never been able to make it through the drive through in less than 10 minutes. That would be 20 minutes at the very least. Even with stellar employees, I have to think that his bank trip took longer than "5 minutes."

Is it possible that LR just uses "5 minutes" as the answer for everything?

I will also say that kids adjust to their surroundings and both children could have been quite adept at negotiating the stairs in that house, although my heart nearly stops thinking of watching an 18-month go down them (assuming she did). They probably would have laughed at how neurotic I was about my kids going down our stairs.

bolded by me.
If he went to the bank in the morning, didn't he also go to the salvage yard in the morning? I wish we had a time line! Could it have gone like this: He went to the salvage yard where the kids were crying and cranky; he went home, put them down for naps and went to the bank?

As far as the "5 minute" trip to the bank, I agree, it would be impossible. Even if he just stopped at the ATM--those machines can be aggravatingly slow!

(respectfully snipped for topic)

Good point about his assessment of "time". Didn't he also say that he'd left Hasanni in the "alley" for between 2 to 5 minutes? Maybe LE should start searching in all directions 5 minutes away from the house? :waitasec: MOO

I too thought the bank trip was after the salvage yard. Another thing is the location of those banks that were listed here ~ it sure doesn't seem he could've gotten to any of them, done his transaction and back home in five minutes. MOO

Yep, panthera, that's what I said! LOL --salvage yard, take kids home for naps, go to bank-- to abbreviate my posts. But I'm only guessing of course.

Here's a map that shows a branch of Fremont Bank and it's very close to that Ardenwood Regional Preserve. It is close to their house. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=5877+Jarvis+Avenue,+Newark,+CA+94560&iwloc=A&hl=en

Here's a map showing the route from Roxie terrace to Fremont Bank. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Fre...ie+Terrace&2c=Newark&2s=CA&2a=5877+Jarvis+Ave

BTW, I just picked Fremont Bank out of the blue because it has the same name as the city they live in--who knows if it is the bank he uses, or if it's the nearest one. I still don't think he could have done this in 5 minutes!

And that location wouldn't disturb his cell phone pings either. I noticed a couple of the banks were on that street, and others were on one other street ~ all seeming to be kind of close together?

That's why I was asking if they had a pool in their yard. I wasn't suggesting he walked a dozen blocks and fell into a public one. Thanks for ruling it out, though.

This shot shows the house and the proximity to banks.

This shot includes all the banks (house is now out of view but would be in upper left).

(only did those that appear in the screen shot)

Just for future reference if we hear which bank he went to.

I'd love to start a timeline thread but what I know is so vague. Hasanni was reported missing around 4:15; LR was seen at the salvage yard just hours before Hasanni was reported missing; he went to the bank and left kids home alone...

ETA: Copying and pasting from Google is a nightmare. I have fixed the format (again!) and have decided to live with the post as it is.

Just a question ~ what exactly is that "regional preserve"? I can't really tell from the map except it seems open and without trees.

I think they are just undeveloped green space - one of the ones I was looking at was a former ranch that had been donated, and is now just a space for horse back trails, hiking, etc.

Thanks. After looking at it more closely I just don't think he's there since it seems too open. MOO
