There also seems to be confusion over when her rental car was located, I've come across everything from 1am Saturday to 11pm Saturday to 12:50am Sunday. These are massively different time-lines. Anyone have an accurate time of discovery, yet?

Also it shouldn't be overlooked that, as mentioned by someone above, she has deep ties to the Southland. Not just being from Venice according to her FB but going to school in Santa Monica and training at Equinox in Pilates in Los Angeles as well as having lived in Camarillo apparently.

Hi,
Jenny is one of my best friends, I can provide a lot of information if anyone would be able to help? I went down to Malibu yesterday to search for anything and the police are convinced that she committed suicide and is in the ocean so they are not following up on any alternative ideas. Can anyone recommend any next move? We've contacted a private investigator but haven't gotten as far as to hire him yet.
Thank you so much

@Kkastanos. I’m so sorry about your friend. We are happy to try to help you. A few questions to start:

Have you started a Facebook group?

Have you made missing person fliers? There is a template under the missing persons resources tab on the homepage.

Have you all called local hospitals? Maybe drop off fliers at the local hospitals and even rehab/mental health facilities.

Have you or her other friends/family spoken to anyone at Ralph’s? What was her demeanor?

What about phone records? Social media? Laptop/iPad? Anything of interest or clues?

What do you think happened? Again, I am so sorry!

As of right now, my understanding is that they are doing very little boots on the ground investigating at all. They haven't even knocked on doors in the neighborhood that immediately surrounds the cove. We need to keep this active and do what we can to pressure the police to not write it off as a suicide without evidence. I'm working on finding what phone number and online accounts can be reached out to to keep the screws to them. Her face, her name and who she is needs to be out there, in front of L.A county until there is a true resolution to this disappearance.

The story has been widely reported, however the reports contain very little information and each new report is simply a copy/paste of other anemic articles. Several contain incorrect information regarding when the car was found and most don't say where the car was found or the name of the motel she was checked into. FB and other social media pushes will hopefully come to fruition later tonight. It's also important to note, again, that though she lived for the last year or so in CO she is an L.A county native not a "Colorado Woman".

@CalParker the misinformation in MSM (main stream media) is an ongoing problem and quite the hindrance in Missing Persons cases. Sigh...

Can I ask why LE is convinced Jenny committed suicide? What was the purpose for her trip to California? Did she have a boyfriend or was there someone she was interested in? Where is her cell phone? Have her parents or other family members been working with LE?

Yes, and unfortunately in this case I feel it is somewhat intentional on the part of the LASD due to her vanishing in a relatively affluent area that gets lots of tourists and it's a holiday weekend. She disappeared from the Paradise Cove area of Malibu, specifically somewhere around the Paradise Cove Beach Cafe and her car was found on Paradise Cove road off of PCH

@Knox
as mentioned on her MP flyer she suffered from depression, that is pretty much the sole reason, along with there being no reported sighting so far. She has been handling it for years. She is originally from the Los Angeles area and also looks generally like many latina and mixed-latina women as she is in the area so there being no sighting so far is not surprising, not to mention the picture they are using doesn't highlight her more unique facial features well at all. Family and friends in the area are doing what they can to cooperate with LASD.

This is where she was last seen on Thursday late afternoon. Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is the structure on the beach at the far right. Paradise Cove is the beach front area that trails off to the left. The road her car was found on is out of frame further to the right and beyond the parking lot to the cafe. This location is 8 miles from the motel she checked into the same day she arrived in Los Angeles.

It's possible that she was in California to visit friends.

The police might have information from her last contact with her family at 11 pm on Thursday that leads them to believe that she was in imminent danger of harming herself. LE must know where the phone travelled and when it stopped working. They would also know when her bank cards have been last used. There might be surveillance video that puts her near the location where they are looking for her.

She was at the motel until about 5:30 PM and then went to the Ralph's on PCH and then continued on to Paradise Cove. She never checked out of the motel and in fact they charged her bank account because she never returned the key

I'm sorry your friend is missing Kkastanos. Do you know what she purchased at Ralphs? How many nights did she have reserved at the motel?

Jenny seems like a really talented and beautiful person. I hope you all get her back.

There is surveillance video from the Cafe toward the stairs in the image I posted, it shows her walking away from the beach not to it. I have more information than I can divulge without permission from @Kkastanos and or family right now, however I can say that she had made plans to see several friends throughout the Southland during her visit. Also as previously mentioned she last visited the Ralph's off PCH before continuing down to Paradise Cove, this is the last time I'm aware her card was used but we wont know until tomorrow what was purchased. Regarding her phone being tracked I have no further information at this time.
