Kinda creepy, the killer in the house of a murdered family, using their computers at 2:00 in the morning a few days later......no worries about getting busted that early in the morning, JMO.

Well it could go two ways, one, your scenario, two, Joseph trying to get something from Chase. The reason what the latter may be is unclear but in all the calls after the meeting it is Joseph calling Chase. So if Joseph was done with Chase, why is he continuing to call him if he is headed or already home? And is the last conversation (1 minute long) the final straw for Chase? Did it send him over the edge?
My theory is maybe CM had threatened Joey and/or his family when they met after Joey fires him.

Joey gets in his car to go home, reflects and decides to call him about it. Things get worse, they row, hang up, row, hang up. You get the idea. JMO

This is huge IF: If CM was using their pc to write himself a check for $4000 at 7:56 pm from the McStay Family PC, and his "unanswered" call was at 8:28 in RC on the 4th, could it be he simply left his phone at home on purpose?

I am not clear if that 2 am time is GMT or PST. It is the time shown by the invesitagotr that did the cyber forensics with 'InCase', the app used to retrieve data. But I didnt hear the atty say anything about what time zone that was. @ am GMT would be about 6 pm PST, which fits the timeline we have much closer. JMO

I would think that it used the McStay's PC time stamp, which would make it PST, IMO. The timestamps WERE pulled from their PC.

Those dates and times, given in this recent testimony, was for FIVE different electronic devices. They included CM's iPhone, and the Mcstays desk top, their i-tablet and their laptop and I believe CM's home computer.

I think the info from the 2/8 searches MIGHT have been retrieved from Chases home computer, as he logged in to the QB remotely?
