The Sanger Police Department is searching for clues about a missing man who was driving from Sanger to the Bay Area when he disappeared.

John McEwen, 59, was headed to work to Fremont, in Alameda County, and left Sanger around 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30. But something went wrong along the way. He never showed up at his work site, according to his employer.

And Sanger police said the family has not heard from him since. His cell phone is also off. He left Sanger driving a gray 2005 GMC Sierra pickup, license plate 7W21697.

They found John at the Del Valle Lake near Livermore, not much was said other than they found him and his truck and he had a weeks worth of food. Years ago, he abandoned his family, only to come back later.. wonder if this is what was going on again...either way, glad he is alive and well.
