Oh yeah that was another positive point from one of the previous handlers that testified. She said the same thing about the certification test — that the dog fails if it makes a single mistake. Her dog was required to take the test once a year to maintain the certification. I think she said the dog was certified for 7 years and it never made a single mistake (or never failed the test, IOW).
ETA: I keep remembering stuff. Also! She said beef or food is one of the specific items used to test dogs for false positives on the certification test. If the dog alerts on the food/meat, it obviously fails. Therefore, the defense wasted their time asking Paul’s friends/roommate about food and refrigerators in the dorm room, IMO.
