UNSOLVED CA - Lake Los Angeles, Male Body Parts, at middle school, Sep'09

This is an area known to have years and years of meth sales and satanic worshipers. Its not the first time body parts have been found in the Mojave Desert area! I hope they find out who this person is ASAP!

"Deputies say the severed hand showed no signs of decomposition.
Wednesday afternoon, investigators say that several middle school students on their way home from school found more body parts in a brushy area, not far from where the hand was discovered.
Detectives are not saying if the body parts belong to the same person. They say that the coroner will have to determine that at some point.
"My boys were leaving the Wilsona Achievement Academy, and I got a call that I needed to come down because they found something that looked like body parts," says Janice Stowers, the school's principal."

Those poor kids. Can you imagine finding body parts on your way home from Middle School?

The kids probably found it "cool"...exciting, at least. I don't think they would grasp the bigger picture..it would just be a break from the normal hum-drum and they will be little celebrities in their school.

I've always thought middleschool-aged children the most vicious. Like housecats, seventh graders would probably eat us, if they were only a little bigger.

Gee, I HOPE the body parts are all from the same person!

I am also scratching my head. Don'tcha wonder why LE didn't search the area for more body parts when they retrieved the hand and torso? Those poor kids shouldn't have had to see something like that!

OT: Your puppy is gorgeous!

If those body parts were from different people, then somthing really really hinky is going on down there... Heck, even one body cut up and strewn around like that is heinky enough!!!

I don't know, I think there has to be some lasting impact (negative) from discovering the pieces of a corpse. I mean that is intense stuff, regardless of a person's development. I would hope middle schoolers would grasp the severity of a dead person, but perhaps I am being naive. I do think that your comment does hold some truth to the perception of the other kids, but I don't know if that would negate the horror of finding something so gruesome to the kids who actually found it. JMO though:)!

does anyone know if there have been any updates to this case?

this particular one brings some eerie similarities to many cases in the high desert.

In 2011 they found partially burried human remains outside of palmdale
http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2011/09/20/human-remains-found-near-palmdale/

and over in newberry springs a dog found a human foot

i can only think of April Pitzer when newberry springs is brought up.

then not that far away in Adelanto a body was found on fire.

Living out here in the high desert I have learned that there are alot of SHADY people and ALOT of meth out in the boonies....

I hope that this case gets an update, no one deserves this treatment no matter what they did wrong in life.

:offtopic:

About a year ago, an old friend of mine from my high school days asked me if I had heard from her old boyfriend from that era, a guy named William Rush Pennington. I googled his name, and found that he was living in an assisted living facility in Adelanto, and was stabbed to death by his roommate.

That is what comes to mind when I think of Adelanto.

Still no updates? I wish there was more info. There's almost nothing.
