See post 210 Reet's drawings could the middle middle top row be Jean I ? Given the other artist's description of the face coming out of the shadows it is really quite remarkable. He seems older but Reet is not a gifted artist. Three appear to be self portraits c.f. the very long neck....one Jagger the other a regular girl...sister or friend.

Changing the subject...the comment by Gilda Green about her using methadone is weird. As earlier posts on this thread suggest it doesn't really fit Reet especially as was not a first use drug typically. Overall G.G. seemed a bit odd a bit shifty and possibly unreliable. Will have to watch that doc again.

Reet's drawing...possibly a first nations person Northern Quebec? I don't think it is Morrison. A guess but it might be Jean.
Something in common that Reet Jurvetson and Marina Habe had was they both were interested in art.

Both bodies were found near Bowmont off Mulholland.

If that is in fact the case (I see no collateral links to support your claim, so will assume it's only your opinion), I still highly doubt that this was a common thing in 1969.
Yes well. Im afraid to admit I myself have verified this. Ive had a drug problem in my past. I myself never did methadone because the withdrawl can be longer than heroin as it has the nickname liquid handcuffs. Anyway I myself can attest to methadone being extremely poweful if you arent currently addicted to opiods.

Methadone is used as a transition drug to get people off heroin and now fentynal nowadays. Ive known it just from being in the drug community how it works. So methadone at first is only given every day. You literally have to show up to the clinic in the morning everyday to get your dose. After they start trusting you after some time they will give you your weekly dose. This is exactly because of abuse. There is and would be a market for methadone on the streets. You have to be observed taking your methadone by a practitioner in house. Again once you start developing trust only then can you start taking it home.

You can verify yourself doing some google searches im sure. But methadone IS an opiate. Its just a "safer" controlled maintenence opiate sort of speak.

It was being given to heroin addicts on the street. Being she was in california at the time it is entirely likely Reet ran with the "wrong crowd". Hence this John character. It wouldnt be too much of a surprise to hear of a young teen or 20 something falling for an attractive older addict with a much more corrupted and manipulative mind happened all the the time. I think this is what happened to Reet.

I think the person you are looking for is likely a deceased drug addict. Just my guess.

From my research methadone treatment got a huge spike in 1969. So it was the brand new thing back then and very likely it would be where a ton of addicts would be in that part of the country with the hippy issues and drug addiction issues rampant.

You just have to understand the drug world and that part of the world. Getting high was the thing to do where she was. It was literally just what was going on. This is before D.A.R.E and the real horrors of drug addiction were fully understood by everyone.

Anyway people here have said it was against her personallity to get on drugs. I assure you the same was said about me once apon a time and the same about many addicts. You see the end result but you dont always see who those people were before. At her age and just getting to California shortly before she likely was experimenting at the time.

I think there is a tendancy to angelicize some of the victims on here. Im here to say it. If Reet did drugs that doesnt make her a bad person. She could be an incredible beautiful person still. I dont see any reason to disbeelidve G.G. on the methadone use comment. Reet likely was doing something. What was much more prevalent in 1969 was meth use though. Maybe gg is a bit naive to drugs and misconscrewed methadone and methamphetamine. Likely she wouldnt but its possible. I tend to believe she was given methadone by some of the charactets she met in the area. Maybe it was even John

Is it possible for an opioid user to still be in perfect health after at least months of use?
