Regarding Bundy, he did confess to a murder in California but I think it may have occurred before '74. He was murdering, like, 1 woman per month in Washington in '74. This girl Anna does fit his MO in some ways but FWIW he didn't conceal his victims in the manner of this girl - he hid them so he could return to commit necrophilia. Also this girls murderer was caught.

The girl in the yearbook is basically identical to Anna Doe but if there is evidence Anna P is alive then I suppose it isn't her. But the resemblance is hard to forget.

Mary Hoy disappeared a few months before Jane Doe was found. Height, hair color, and eye color match. Mary is Hispanic. Weight is off by 12 lbs. Mary was 32 when she disappeared, and this Jane Doe is estimated to be between 20-28, but I think one article said she might be early 30s. Mary does slightly resemble Jane Doe, but I'm not sure if it's spot-on. Thought I'd post her here anyway though.

Gary Stamp was arrested last year after detectives reopened the cold case of a young victim, known as Jane Doe No. 40.

The woman was raped and strangled, and her body was dumped at Alamitos Beach in 1974.

Police created a composite picture of the unidentified woman, and a witness in Texas, who police said admitted to helping dispose of the body, led detectives to Stamp.

Stamp, 61, never made it to trial, as he died in custody last month. Detectives said he was terminally ill with cancer.

DNA is complete for Ana now, but it appears there's no DNA sample available for this UID. They have fingerprints for the UID but not for Ana. Looks like this one is going to take much longer than anticipated to check on due to the mismatched identifiers.

Cathy may have left on her own and the facial features seem to be a bit alike. Eyes are not a match colorwise though.

I've been browsing through high school yearbooks on Classmates.com to see if I could find matches for teens and early 20's with postmortem photos. They still don't have enough books on their site to do a good thorough search, but I thought maybe I'd get lucky and find some of these people.

Looking through the 1971 David Starr Jordan High School (Long Beach CA) yearbook, I came across a girl with the initials AP (who was a Junior in 1971). The 1972 yearbook wasn't available to find her Senior photo.

Here is the side-by side with the postmortem photo:

She has a very similar nose, cheekbone structure and chin to Jane Doe. If she was a Junior in 1971, she would have been about 20 years old in 1974, which appears to be Jane Doe's approximate age. Her overall look is a little different from what I envisioned, but closed eyes can be deceptive to the mind's eye.

I am unable to find any info to indicate that AP is missing. But I looked through the Classmates.com alumni listing for Jordan High, and she wasn't listed. I also went to Facebook, and found several AP's including one that had a similar nose and appears to be about the right age. However, she and most of the others were from Italy.

Do any of you think this might be her?

She reminds me a lot of the Rodney Alcala pic of girl in shorts in a park with purple tinted background.

And she reminds me, but younger and chubbier, of one pic found on Alex Mengel's possession. The upper left one.
