I think I found her, and I believe she was actually identified shortly after she was found. If I’m correct, her inclusion on modern unidentified sites was an error. Per her doenetwork profile, we know “Little Cowboy” was found on July 21, 1977 in Los Angeles near Sunset Blvd and Glendale Blvd. She is listed as Hispanic, aged 3-5.
3 year old Aracili Diaz was found dead on July 21,1977 behind the Taix Restaurant in Los Angeles at Glendale Blvd and Reservoir St (see attached newspaper article and corresponding death record).
As you may realize, the cross streets seemingly don’t add up. However, the Taix restaurant mentioned in the news article is actually located at the intersection of 3 streets - Sunset Blvd, Glendale Blvd, and Reservoir St (see attached screenshot of restaurant location with street names).
The newspaper article about little Aracili’s death state she remained unidentified for days, and her sister was also badly abused. I hope her sister was able to find love and stability.
I think all of this information is too much to be a simple coincidence. As she was actually identified in 1977, I suspect that’s why an announcement was never made in recent years.
Rest peacefully, Aracili
