Found Deceased CA - Maricela Garcia, 26, Reseda, 12 Jan 2017 #1

It was obvious that the dumpsters had been emptied. It didn't look as though there was any reason to pull out the bags that were in there and the dad had looked through earlier. I'm going to try to make time to call them myself this morning, along with the businesses with video. I just need to know things are being done...how can I be hard on the police if the family isn't following through? Maybe they are, I just don't know. Unfortunately, I have to catch up on some work first

The latino community liaison sergeant has asked me to contact him so I will be doing that this morning. The family wants to search Saturday so once I confirm that with Dad, I will post details. Good point about Stacy and Papini...if I kidnapped someone, I wouldn't want to be keeping someone that everyone was looking for
I hope to talk to Dad and have a few answers this morning. At the least, maybe the Sergeant will be able to help. I'm sure Nancy Grace is going to rip LAPD again so interesting to see what effect that has.
On the 18th was when we found out that media was not covering it because the PIO stated she was voluntarily missing. I think that goes hand in hand with suspicious circumstances although I don't understand it.
Again, if they have information that she is willingly gone, at least tell the family. That dad and that mom and that sister and that brother are terrified and desperate. Lay their minds to rest or get off your asses.
Can anyone map where that river flows under Lindley in relation to the GW? I'm not a map person and it looks as though that will be the logical next place to search.
Hoping for information today. The views on the page have gone down despite NG covering this twice. People are losing interest. No information is being released so there is nothing for people to be interested in.
I don't quite know where to go from here.

I'm not much with the map making, but it looks like the Los Angeles River overpass is a straight shot down Lindley Avenue at Victory Blvd.

I may have missed this, but are we pretty confident from Maricela's route that the phone was left in the parking lot behind Jon's before she sat in the church for 10-15 minutes?

So 9 did a short blurb, 2 did an even quicker story but Univision was AMAZING. Sadly, I couldn't understand what he was saying, lol, but Dad and Sarah were both interviewed and there was a lot of video of the walk and the crowd. Wish it was online somewhere. If anyone comes across any online stories from anyone, please post them. I can't search tonight I'm getting the pictures uploaded now...because we got a lead while we were behind Jons, there are no pictures of where the cigarette/phone was found. I'm really disappointed because I would also like you to get a feel for the back parking lot. Maybe we will go back tomorrow night. Aside from that, there are pictures throughout the walk so you can kinda see what she saw. Coming soon...but there's alot. Wonder how many I can put in each post lol

Idk if most people are aware that LE uses a 'risk factor' based off of compiled police reports from fusion centers under the Patriot Act. A young women from Colorado who has no prior data would be considered low risk high priority. On the other hand someone with prior substance abuse issues and a previous dissapearance ( mind you I haven't seen a police report ) would be high risk and low priority, especially being over the age of 18. The fact LE didn't even consider her case as involuntary, which hindered the ability to get Maricela on national missing persons databases and in the news, and stating that getting her story out will bring her harm is sure, maybe a plan all along not to spook a perpetrator in the area who they think will hurt her. Maybe, but makes more sense to me that theyre trying to shift any responsibility for inaction if MG is not found, or found deceased. All you have to do is look at the news and everyday you'll see another LEO busted for lying, blaming the victim, etc.. it's policy.

When will LE realize that people with drug history, runaways, and other factors that "label" them are far more often the victim of a violent crime than anyone else?

I know its been mentioned but that Bank of America should (and I think it has been confirmed) cameras. Based on street view on google it looks like the ATM's face the street too. It really stinks that LE isn't looking at all the video footage.

I don't think we can know that for sure yet---without video footage or witnesses.

Jon's is before the church, but there is nothing to prove that she didn't backtrack and leave the phone there after she left the church too.

It is very odd to me, that she , or someone, would smash her phone BEFORE she went and sat in the church. If so, why didn't she ask for help inside the church if she had already been accosted? I don't get that part.

It is possible that she left the church, went back the way she came, which would include going through the back of Jon's, and then she went across the street diagonally to Kaiser parking lot.

I am very confused after taking the tour of her saga last night. She covered a lot of ground.

We met a very compassionate and intelligent homeless woman at the Goodwill lot. She was very helpful. She said there are no homeless encampments behind the Jons. But there are a lot near Lindley and Victory and near the Kaiser.

But she didn't think it was a homeless perp necessarily. She did say there were a lot of 'bad men' in the area, but not necessarily homeless men.

I think there is a large encampment near the LA river, and all along it.

There has been a lot of scrutiny and focus on that area surrounding the river for the past 2 weeks because of the storms. They have done quite a few river rescues of homeless in the area, and they have gone into the area warning those camped nearby to stay away from the area during the storms.

Im on the phone with the PI who worked the Toni Anderson case and also located the grandmother and missing girl...remember the one where the grandmother had a stroke behind the wheel? His team located them.
I need this guy. He's completely nonprofit but we need a to get him out here.

One more question, do you guys/mistivon think there is a possible connection to Laura Stacy's case? If so, maybe I/we can look the mileage/specific locations in her case (last seen, car found, etc) and do a very close comparison? I don't want to derail the thread if you guys don't think there is a connection...

And the dogs took them to where he phone was found, and possibly where her choker was found at the dumpster in Kaiser. So if we believe the dogs and the 2 witnesses, then I believe she was in the church.

And after doing 'the walk' last night, I tend to believe she would go to the church from Jon's. It is right next door, and very welcoming. It is a large dark parking lot, but the church was all lit up, and had a gorgeous well lit steeple, and is massive. It would be a very inviting place on a dark rainy, scary night.
