This is not related to the case but I wonder what this guy was up to. Michelle's suspect could have been someone similar. This is an hour's drive away.

PLEASURE POINT -- Sheriff's deputies arrested a 31-year-old Santa Cruz man Friday night after finding they found a stun gun, four kinds of drugs and other items in a car they believe was his.
About 11:20 p.m., a Sheriff's deputy saw a man in a white Mitsubishi sedan pull in to a parking lot of a bar on the 3600 block of Portola Drive, said deputy April Skalland. The deputy checked the license plate against the system and saw the car was not registered but its registration sticker was current, Skalland said.
The deputy found 4.9 grams of heroin, oxycodone, methadone pills, liquid methadone, drug paraphernalia, a stun gun, a TV, two iPods, two digitial cameras and a pair of black gloves, Skalland said.

Yikes! I don't know what he was up to, but he sounds like a dangerous predator to me. Scary. I'm glad they caught him.

I just checked the blog talking about GE here: http://michellelemissing.blogspot.com/
and it says "Blog has been removed

I always check this blog daily for any updates and it was up and running last night.
Why would that blogger go to all that trouble to do all that investigating on the case only to remove it? I also saw yesterday that GE's pic had been removed from the blog,and the blogger mentioned that GE may have seen it and removed her pic from her public photobucket account.
Very strange indeed. Maybe GE or her family threatened a lawsuit against the blogger? But he was only posting what he found through public records. Or maybe the Hayward PD/FBI felt it the blog might compromise their investigation?
Odd indeed.

I've been checking that blog daily as well. I'm thinking the PD probably did it. Everything the blogger posted were public records. I wonder what will happen if another blog like this is created
Seems like there are fewer and fewer updates about this case as time goes on. I heard that part of last Saturday's search included going back to the area around Hayward Kaiser. I'm curious as to whether any of the empty homes in the Ponderosa Ct. area were ever searched by LE as a poster had once suggested. What sort of grounds would be required to get a warrant to search those homes?

I have a gut feeling that the PD are honing in on their suspect. I think it won't be long before we hear some news about this case from the LE.
Just a feeling but I think they know ALOT more about what happened, who did it and are almost close to making an arrest.
At least I hope my gut feeling is right...
I think someone is talking, and I think the reward money may have enticed some more info out of people closer to this disappearance - and I think it has to do with that blog and the FBI's evidence. Just speculation but I have a pretty good inner voice. Hope I'm right on this one. Michelle's family deserves closure - one way or the other. Still hoping she's alive but I'm getting the feeling that Michelle may be gone. I hope I'm wrong on that one.

Awesome catch. Google cache IS great. I took a screenshot of it too. Another good way to follow topics is realtime. Some people don't realize they can do that too to get up to the minute updates.

There was a conversation going on with two people on michelle's official website about this.
one of them was saying that you do not need a search warrant for forclosed homes since they are abandoned and homeless people usually end up living in them.

I'm from this area and I wonder if they also searched the area around Quarry Lakes? It's close to Niles and there are lots of small lakes and wooded areas around there. And it's sort of in between Fremont and Union City. If her cell was pinging Union City and Fremont it could have been the Quarry Lakes area it was coming from?.

QUARRY LAKES is very close to where GE lived. I wonder if searchers also checked the creek that runs all the way down to the Bay? We have taken our dogs out there and there are tons of places someone could do something bad to someone. I don't walk that area alone.
I like others check this site everyday. Im sure there is others like me that want to help but don’t know what to do.

It could have been in a garbage truck and that would explain the traveling.
Or a biohazard carrier.
At least that would give a possible search area.
The Bay Area is very diverse place, it has Techie’s, Naturist’s, Survivalist’s and tons of other ists that are very intelligent.

new clues were found - several calls were made out after michelle went missing...one call to reno and one to arizona.
investigators went to arizona to question a woman who then called michael, michelle's brother.
confirmed that witness spotted her suv at pond court 4 hours after she went missing.
it was only a small splatter of blood in her suv.

Then why did they say she was dead so early on? Did they witness her being killed on tape?? This is so strange...

Using my amateur sleuthing skills here, this is what I think may have happened with this latest turn of events:
There was that blog www.michellelemissing.blogspot.com that had alot of info on it related to GE's disappearance.
It was speculated on that blog that GE may have accessed that blog and that was why GE's pic was removed from her public Photobucket account.
Then there were some interesting comments from a poster there that eluded to the idea that they knew more about Michelle's disappearance. The next day suddenly that blog disappears. Then "new evidence" from a San Diego news source indicates that Michelle used her phone after disappearing.
I think this is what happened:
Maybe that was GE that went to that blog. Or maybe someone who is trying to throw the trail off of GE by claiming "more evidence". etc.Strange that the news broke of the new evidence from San Diego, where GE now lives..... and not up here in the news from where Michelle disappeared....
So let's just say GE is involved...and she is trying to point the finger away from her. What better way than to anonymously call in "new evidence" that indicates Michelle left on her own after contacting people and that there was only a small amount of blood in the car?
Then the blog gets removed because LE/FBI is now scouring that blog for that "witness"??
Someone is obviously trying to derail the investigation....and I bet it's the person responsible for Michelle's disappearance.
