Here ya go - found this! Better than what I could explain! LOL!

At the commitment hearing the judge will hear stories and facts about what mental or emotional problems the person has and how to treat them. The judge has to decide if the problems are so big that the person has to stay in the hospital, even if the person doesn t want to.

*Commitment Hearing (@ 8:30am PT) – CA – Sana Akram, 4 was stabbed to death & Mina tried to kill 10-year old, Oct. 14, 2023, Modesto. *Mina Nazari (34) arrested (10/14/23), arraigned & charged (10/17/23) with 1 count of murder with a dangerous weapon, 1 count of child abuse resulting in death , 1 count each of attempted murder (10 yr. old), assault with a deadly weapon & permitting a child to suffer under circumstances likely to cause great bodily harm. Held without bond.
