Yes, that too if she stopped taking meds, as it appears she was doing several years ago. Bipolar disorder is so tricky to treat and going off meds is pretty common. Of course, I'm just hypothesizing about bipolar disorder based on what her family said and the drugs she was taking several years ago. I think some kind of mental illness is involved, even if she was doing meth or something else (bath salts?). Such a tragedy.
 
Enlarging her picture in the OP it looks like her face got banged up and bruised.
 
I, too, thought the accused was on meth when this happened. Maybe needs to be exorcised from the meth demon.

Hearing for KF to be served with a CLETS protective order was continued until September 5, the same day the psychiatrist's report is due.

The CLETS order was requested by the DA at the last hearing...

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads requested a CLETS protective order. Judge Christopher Wilson will rule on that next week.

Even though criminal proceedings have been suspended, DDA Eads explained why she was seeking the order and Judge Wilson is looking into court authority regarding that when criminal proceedings have been suspended.

DDA Eads cited emotional trauma, potential to disuade a witness and "concern for the minor victim and her siblings."

A hearing to update the status of those reports is set for Nov. 28th.
