Now, I hope we can find out more about "his story".

''Sigvard Sven Svensson was born on February 4, 1908, in Almundsryd, Kronoberg, Sweden, to Matilda Johannisdotter and Karl Alfred Svensson. In 1926 Sigvard moved to the United States and he and his brothers and sisters changed their last name to Swanson. In the late 1920's Sigvard had quite the amateur boxing career. He and another boxer would turning the boxing match into slapstick comedy match which the crowds loved.

Sigvard married Elizabeth A. Kirschner in San Francisco, California, on December 24, 1931. Sigvard married Evelyn R. Macconnell in 1940, they had two sons and two daughters together. His wife Evelyn passed away on March 27, 1948, in Burlingame, California, at the age of 33. They had been married 8 years. Sven went missing in 1978.''

Sad. I wish we knew how his life continued. Who raised his kids? Would've been unusual for a widower to raise 4 small kids alone back then, but it has happened. Or did they live with relatives or foster parents? Which, if he did not keep in touch with his kids, would explain if he was not reported missing. Kids were adults when he died.
Was he reported missing? Where did he live when he went missing?

Relatives or the living parent remarried, usually.
