I read this yesterday but wasn't sure about the source. Seems they were onto something yesterday. BBM

Naya Rivera Investigation: Police Share Insight Into Her Disappearance, Her Son's Help and More

"What law enforcement does know, according to Buschow, is that Rivera "went north on the lake."

"She never went to the south-side of the lake. We know that from surveillance cameras...," he explained. "The boat never came back to the south, so the focus of the search has been to the north and to the north-east side of the lake."

He also explained that the boat Rivera rented, which her son was found alone on, was "discovered to the north side of the lake."

"There weren't a lot of people on the lake that day. All of the times she was seen, were on the north side of the lake. Suffice to say that all indications are, at this point, that she drowned in the lake," he added. "All indications are she is in the water and we still believe that."

Buschow said the Glee star was last seen in the water, and she and her 4-year-old son "were swimming in the water together." He also confirmed that Josey was found "wearing his life vest."

"He was asleep on the boat, covered in a towel," Buschow shared, adding that Josey has helped out with the case. "Kids that age, they are going to be very matter of fact in providing information. And he was. He was able to provide information that was very helpful to investigators."

"The search will continue in some form. And as we go forward that may be just limited to a couple boat crews, fly-overs by the helicopter, that sort of thing. Today, the sonar scanning at the lake will be finished," he shared.

Buschow said his team "found something that looks promising," and are currently investigating it. However, he didn't clarify what the authorities found.

Body found at Lake Piru in California where actress Naya Rivera went missing

A body has been found at Lake Piru in California where actress Naya River went missing, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

"The recovery is in progress," the sheriff's office said in a tweet, adding that a news conference will take place at 2 p.m. at the lake.
Omg... my heart just sank to my feet. So many emotions. I dont even know her yet I feel so much pain for her family and son.

"Recovery is in progress " what does this mean? Are they having problems getting her?

I guess it's not quite so simple as fishing someone out. They want to preserve forensic evidence to assist in investigating and also treat a body with respect.

Interesting.. wonder what they found yesterday which lead to a body today

It never gets any easier to read news like this, does it? :(

I do feel relieved that the searchers were successful finding her quickly despite the reported challenges they faced.

I feel so, so, sad for little Josey. Naya looked like she really loved being his mommy.
I hope he is getting lots of hugs today.

RIP Naya.

May all who tirelessly & heartfeltly searched & searched be comforted by knowing they brought her home. After seeing her Mother kneeling at the lake dock...they needed her found. ❤️

I have a question for those that know a lot about determining cause of death after a body is found. Since it’s been 6 days will they be able to determine a cause of death still? I’m asking because I’m hoping testing can be done to help shed light on what might have happened to her to give closure to her loved ones. Like if she had hit her head and that caused her to not come back up, or if a health issue happened to her out on the lake? Would they be able to find this out do you think?

They should be able to tell

I would guess something prohibitive to easy retrieval. Maybe even washed up onto the shoreline where it's difficult to access due to steepness. JMO
I really wonder if they found "whatever it is" yesterday from walking the shore line and cabins again. Maybe something different came about it. Omgosh. What if that body figure had something to do with it. Just brainstorming here. 4 can't come any sooner.
