I must have missed that, thank you for pointing it out. I guess that means it was down the entire time? Did they tow it back to dock for inspection? I ask because we never have our motor running while the swim ladder is down.
I also wondered if the gate had been left open!
 
This makes me so sad for her family, for her son, and her loved ones. I went swimming with my 5 year old today and I can see how it could have happened. I hoisted my daughter up onto the side of the pool and just that action sent me under. So sad that the last time he saw his mom, she was descending into the water. However, as a mom, I can see if they were both in trouble, she'd get him into the boat first - without telling him they were in trouble. She wouldn't have wanted him to be scared. And on the anniversary of Cory's death. I knew it would be today. I felt it in my heart that it would be today.

I agree I could def see her doing everything in her power to save Josey first esp if a current started taking them. And I also had this feeling it was going to be on the anniversary of Cory that she was found. I remember when Cory died and they did the tribute episode on Glee when Naya sang her song on there she screamed at the end of the performance(that was totally her and not acting I'm pretty sure of it) because she was so upset. She took his death very hard you could tell by her social media posts back then and they were so close. I don't know I just had this feeling it was going to be today.
 
Without a bottom to hold herself up with, as she pushed him up, she would have pushed herself under. Depending upon how far the boat had drifted and how many times she had to try to push him up, she could have been physically exhausted and gone under. If it took multiple times she could have been short of breath or tried to inhale at the wrong time. I expect drowning with by COD. All IMOO.
 
oh Dear--- I meant to pop in earlier to see if there was an update and got too busy at work.
I just popped in now and saw the "Found Deceased" status at the top and just cried.
Darn it.. I am glad she has been found, but so sad that it even happened.
Catching up now.

I speculated this may have happened as well. Especially since the boat wasn’t anchored, maybe she forgot to turn the motor off, or Josey jumped in while the boat was running, she jumped in after him got him on board and was struck by the propeller
 
I’m so very sad With the news - I’m imagining she realized how far the boat may have drifted and used one arm to pull him towards the boat while swimming because she couldn’t use his life jacket to keep them both afloat without Pulling him under - I’ve had to do this and the effort is exhausting - she gave her life to get him back in the boat safe - a mother’s love

Another tragic possibility: Her head/face/nose may have inadvertently come into contact with a foot or leg as he was trying to kick his way back into the boat.

Even a glancing blow, that leaves behind little to no evidence of contact, might be enough to stun her. IMO

I will be curious to see if she was found in the water or if that could have been Naya. They said she only traveled to the North part of the lake and I’m not sure where that figure in the video was located.

Sheriff said she was found under the water, but had floated up closer to the top, due to decomp. That white blob near a rock was not her, as it was just today her body floated up. They said they had been searching in the area she was found, and surmised she was likely at the bottom and in and among the foliage that grows there (between 30 and 60 ft. in that area, they said). I think they knew she'd be found within 7 days, based on prior experience and research on how long it takes for a body to become buoyant after drowning and sinking. IMO

In the presser the Sheriff said the depth of the water where she was found was 30 to 60 ft deep. She was able to help her son onto the pontoon by lifting him at his butt. Then she slipped under the water. If she had hit her head and been knocked out, she wouldn't have been able to accomplish that. IMO.
 
I know some of you all here probably didn't watch Glee or really know who Naya was. I wanted to explain a little bit about her character on Glee and why she and her character made such an impact on so many peoples lives - even other celebrities.

Glee was a musical show so many of their actors also sang including Naya. Naya Rivera played Santana Lopez who was a cheerleader on the show. Naya's character had a coming out storyline. She was the first Puerto Rican/black female to ever play a bisexual character on a television show. Santana's coming out story was an inspiration to so many people even celebrities saying that it had an impact. Naya played opposite of Heather Morris much of the show their characters were in a relationship and even had the big wedding towards the end of the series. Heather and Naya remained close friends even after the show ended - that's why Heather wanted to search for her. Listen to the lyrics of this, someone used it in a tribute video to her. <3
