According to A News Cafe, two fires have been reported at or near the McCain residence after Cheng-McCain went missing. The fires, named by Cal Fire as Olinda Fire and Yolla Fire, happened in July and allegedly destroyed vehicles that belonged to the McCains. A News Cafe reported that Tyler McCain was cited for starting the Olinda Fire, and the Yolla Fire is still under investigation.

Anyone with information on Cheng-McCain’s whereabouts is advised by law enforcement to contact Shasta County Sheriff’s Office at 530-245-6540. Tips that lead to her could be eligible for an award of up to $30,000.
As a NorCal resident, IMO feds should have been involved on Nikki's case & many others! Way too many women have went missing under suspicious circumstances in Southern Oregon & Northern California! We need help!!! Its so upsetting! If you go missing here there are slim to zero resources

Just 10 days before she vanished, Saelee-McCain texted her family to say she was leaving her husband of 15 years, Tyler McCain, accusing him of ongoing horrific abuse, her sister, Chloe Saelee, told the US Sun.

“She was really excited. She was looking at furniture for a new place and she was ready to leave Tyler and divorce him for good,” Chloe said.

“She had plans to start over, to get her kids back, and she was ready and looking forward to it,” she said of the children removed from their care in 2022 because of the troubled home.

Very troubling details re the domestic violence

Chloe and another of Nikki's sisters, Kaye Ford, told The U.S. Sun that Nikki's husband and his mom provided a series of conflicting versions of events in the wake of her disappearance.

Three months on, they say they're still in the dark about who she was with and whether or not she ever returned home.

"After she got back to the house [...] we really don't know what happened there, that's where the story changes a little bit.

"At one time we've been told one of the roommates that lived at their house took her back home.

"Another one was that she had taken an Uber from her mother-in-law's house, but we have no proof that an Uber was even called."

Lengthy article

After reading that article, I’m heartbroken for Nikki’s kids. It sounds like they have witnessed a lot of DV in their home. That traumatizing enough, then they were removed from Nikki’s care and now she’s gone from their lives entirely. I hope the family is getting help for them to deal with all this.
