I’ve emailed the NameUs Regional Program Specialist about Beatrice and I’ll update here once we receive a response.

It's good to check and double check. CarlK came up with this possible match in one of the first posts in this thread. I wonder if he has more to add on his initial research.

I noticed that too and I’d love to see if he can shed any light.

Carl submitted Beatrice years ago. I submitted her for a possible match to the Doe Network back in 2014. Back in the day when NAMUS listed DNA, this UID had insufficient DNA. I don't believe we will we ever know if this is Beatrice

Thank you for providing more background. Maybe they don’t have dental for Beatrice and probably no fingerprints. The Jane Doe doesn’t have any fillings, but did have her wisdom teeth pulled. Very sad.

One thing I wanted to ask, NamUs doesn't specify that the Nipton Jane Doe hasn't given birth, but The Doe Network does. Is one source more reliable and/or detailed than the other?

It's a tricky on. I really can't give the right answer. I brought up some woman who had children and always members told me...she didn't have children. It could be there are members who have contacts with LE and know a little more besides the official files.

Three official ruleouts listed on Namus as of 31 December 2013:

Linda Nickell 1955 Michigan
Patsy Ravens 1946 Arizona
Catherine Sjoberg 1957 Wisconsin

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Names we suggested that I think are ruleouts:

Pamela Burroughs
Beatrice Lozano-Rodriguez

Names suggested in this thread. I don't know how many were submitted and whether any were ruled out.

Martha Morrison
Susan Rae Perron
Stefanie Kelly Stroh
Mary Bostick
Sarah Tokier
Ingrid Angela
Diana Laughlin Anderson
Dana Lull
Frances Ewalt
One more ruleout: Eileen Hynson.

Dana Lull’s body was discovered in a mine shaft on Mountain Springs Road in San Bernardino County, CA, She had been shot once through the head with a .22 long jacket bullet. She was abducted from the Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas. The murder of Dana Lull 04/27/1974

Mineshaft, shotgun wound....sounds familiar.

The remains of Martha Morrison were identified in 2015. In 2015, the remains were identified by means of DNA profiling as those of Morrison Murder of Martha Morrison - Wikipedia

Susan Rae Perron's body is also found. On April 16, 1973 the remains of a human skeleton was found in the desert area approximately 5 miles west of U.S. 95 Highway off of Lone Mountain Road.

Through dental records it was determined that the skeletal remains were those of Susan Rae Perron. Cause of death was determined to be blunt trauma to the head. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/123977288/susan-rae-raeperron

This would be such a good case for genetic genealogy—and it’s quite possible that identifying her would identify the killer.

Regarding the lack of a wedding ring, ‘76 isn’t that long ago—there were people living together without being married, back then. And of course, plenty of people in an intimate relationship who weren’t married or engaged.

It’s pretty remarkable that she was discovered within a short time of her death. I’m sure her killer(s) didn’t expect that at all. I believe she was meant to be identified.

[not] meant to be identified?

And back on page 7, trash dumped on top of her? Think of the potential evidence there! Also, there’s been a lot of discussion of what she was wearing, but shorts and a halter top sounds a lot less mysterious than a swimsuit—

Yah, or it could have been a swim suit under shorts? The top maybe looked like a halter top. Who knows. And yes! That trash could have held a clue!

I actually did mean “was meant to be identified”...as in, it wasn’t a coincidence that she was discovered despite all odds. ;)

These murders parallel the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murders I think they're connected. There are sketches of the suspects here. Couple's deaths in Grand Canyon remain unsolved Some more info here. CA - CA - Santa Rosa Hitchhiker Murders, 7 girls/young women, 1972-1973

I'm not totally sure what you mean. Do you think this Jane Doe was a victim of the Santa Rosa Hitchhiker murderer or the Zodiac. I don't know a lot of details about that.

My list is about a couple of women suggested to be Nipton Jane Doe in this thread, but since found, identified.

There might be a connection between the killing of this woman and Dana Lull and if you think Dana was killed by the Zodiac I can see your point. I noticed that there is a time gap of two years between the Dana Lull murder and the year this girl was found.

The shorter version of the linked article was published a day before this one. It nearly has to be referring to this Doe, but I wonder why the clothing is different.

That is rather curious.
It says: "Clad in shorts and blue halter top"
In comparison, NamUs says it is a blue and white "bathing-suit".
I thought it odd since there is not exactly many places to go swimming in the middle of the desert, and it does not strike me as a place to sunbathe.

Perhaps it is a style of bikini?
Bikini's, some at least, back in the days looked a bit more like "short shorts" and "halter tops" up top.

Still, not feeling very certain about this.
