How does kiidnapping high school aged girls assist in drug trafficking?

I've read about a couple of instances, but not in reliable sources. Allegedly they're forced to be mules, then turned over to pimps. The original reports were highly sensationalized and probably mostly untrue.

LE did state he was on probation, so to me that means he was sentenced.....not a pending case. He was 19, so maybe nothing comes up in a background check because he may have been a minor, under 18....when his crime of robbery occurred. I can't seem to find online criminal records in this county, like I can for others. I only found civil court cases on line for that county. He is a ghost ....nothing on the internet, no SM that I can find. Strange

I used to work for a PI and California's court record system is PAINFULLY antiquated. Every county is different and very few are archived online. Sometimes I would spend all week chasing records by hand. I dealt with microfiche and--not even joking---DOS based 1980s computer systems. The East Bay is pretty broke and they have incredibly out of date computer systems at most of their courthouses. What you see online is only the tip of the iceberg for a lot of CA.

Agree, I am from Contra Costa County and its extremely difficult to locate court records. It is a large county with sections designated as east, west, etc. Info is very scattered. Especially hard to locate criminal records there

From this online article:

http://www.thereporter.com/general-...llejo-girl-remains-hopeful-she-will-come-home

"“She called me and was like ‘Rose I want you to come home because some girls are bullying me,’” Rose said. “I told her I wasn’t able to make it because I didn’t have transportation and I had to work the next day.”

It was a decision that now haunts Rose."

I'm wondering if LE was aware of this? Could there possibly be a link between the bullying, and the abduction?

This is such a sad story.

I think it possible. Obviously Pearl was scared, or fearful of whatever she was experiencing because she called and asked for her sister to come home. She didn't feel safe to deal with it on her own. I have no idea how castro could be connected but he could have been in some way.
I think the LE should release any connection to castro they may have. Was Pearls blood, hair, dna, in his saturn? What about the black swestshirt, Hoodie he was first spotted in? Do they have it? Is there blood, dna, hair, etc on it? He is wearing a blue jacket in the car pics? Is there dna of her in his house? Evidence on either of their phones? Did they find those ....reading glasses in his car, home? (These bug me ).
They, LE has gone very silent. Pearl is still missing. She needs to be found.

Kidnapping is a standard tool for Mexican drug cartels. I live in houston and we have had neumerous drug related kidnappings in the last few years. Most of the kidnappings or murders related to drug trafficking are easy to spot. A few months back a breaking news story about a body of a teenage girl found in a vacant lot that had been dead for several days. Within days, she had been identified and by then it came to light that he dad was missing. The news reporter was standing in front of their house doing the report. they showed a picture of the dad. I told my wife they will find him dead and I guarantee, it over drugs. They lived in a 400 thounsand dollar house witch there is like a 2million dollar house. I dont care where you come from, if your still wearing pointy boots and a straw stetson, you dont live in a house like that unless you are tied up with the drug trade. 2 days later they found him burnt inside his truck. They found his wife in mexico. She was probably there transporting money, or picking up drugs. A week later, they arrested his killer. A Mexican hitman for a cartel. Im not sure how they know, but probably because he was already part of another investigation, but they say he had been transporting money for a cartel between south texas and noth of houston. He must have come up short.

The truth is, you dont even have to be that deep in it, to have them kidnapp as a means of extorsion, or leverage, one of your family members. You could be way down the food chain even as small is an actual small scale dealer. Its their way of sending a message. If you debt or mishap what ever it may be, they are probably going to kill you anyways. As for the girl and her dad, the PD said she had been brutally raped(very likley in front of her dad) then her throat was slashed. He was tied up in the truck and burned alive.

From the initial reports of this story, I have leaned towards her being kidnapped because of drugs. Most likley someone close to her, and not her directly.

If this was the story I'm thinking (Coronado) they lived in an apt, and we had a thread here, they were looking for the two of them and dad was found burned before the daughter. and not all Hispanic men who wear boots and cowboy hats are drug dealers. However, I agree that story screamed drugs from the gate.

Correct, but they did not live in an apartment....they lived in a house that would be in the 400's range, just 4 houses down from my brother. As for all hispanics, I did say pointy boots right. Please don't take offence. Im not trying to stereo type anyone here, but we have as many illegal immigrants here as CA does. I know many of them. I'm married for 24yrs now to a hispanic that immigrated to the us. I worked in Mexico city in the early 90s, until 2006. I have spent a lot of time over the years sence back and forth between Houston and City of Industry. I don't think I would be stepping on anyones toes to say, that Many of them are involved in the drug trade, and yes, even the ones that you think are welders, and brick layers, etc. It is a network. I assure you, you dont show up in the US, hat in hand with a common skillset in construction and have a house paid off, and 2 or more late model vehicles paid for free and clear sitting in your driveway a year later making 18-22, 24, 26 dollars an hour. I know exactly how it all works, and I know exactly how much the left leaning US population thinks that all of them are here because they just want to work hard and have a better life. That is true for many, but just as many are involved in some shape form or fassion in trafficing, drugs people, and money.. My own neighbor has a bird house behind his house. Its about 500sft. I used to think he just liked birds....After living next to him for about 10 years, he told me he houses illegals for a cayote for a few weeks until they can get established, if thats what you want to call it. I wondered how he managed the house payments working for a salvage yard. And yes, even the soccer moms have their hands in it. Viva las Narco USA.

This is a very interesting post, can you please explain the significance of the pointy boots?

Wow, just caught up.

Usually I tend to shy away from the sex trafficking/drug cartel theories, but I think it might fit here. He may have handed her off to somebody. The only thing that bothers me is her sister said she had heard of him before. I wish we knew in what context that was. Like as in he was dating Pearl? Or like as in he suddenly got weird and kids were talking about him and who he'd been associating with. I think that would be helpful. I'm guessing the police already have all of this info and it isn't an upset boyfriend situation. This could be a piece of a bigger puzzle for them and an ongoing investigation with something like cartel in the area. I would really hope she's still alive but she'd be a big liability to a cartel and they wouldn't want to keep a person around who is being sought after.

Poor girl. :(

I actually agree w you and think you are correct, but I don't think it's just as many. It is many, yes, but not just as many.

I grew up in central ca (farmland) I worked at a county jail there. I am also married to an American born Mexican man, his parents were from michoacan. Unfortuantely some of His family have had their hands in that as well.

yes. They call them Matehuala. I think it the town where they originated. Someone told me long ago but don't quote me on that. What I do k ow is that they were, and still are popular with the car tell crowd. Kinda like a status symbol or a tribute.... that being said, on most occasions here when we see some e with them, we know that either they are just visiting, or recently arrived to stay. In the mexican community it's a running joke that if you see so e one wearing pointy boots, pointy hat, and chewing g on a toothpick, that someone better hide, because it a hitman.
