Fairfield, California. A California woman faces murder charges after she allegedly drowned her 4-year-old grandson in a bathtub intentionally on Tuesday...

Police arrested his grandmother, Dawn Diana Raines-Hewes, 51, whom they believe placed the boy in a bathtub and intentionally drowned him. Two other grandchildren who were in Raines-Hewes's care at the time – a 6-year-old girl and 1-year-old girl – were unharmed, police said.

Those other children must have feared they were next.

God, what a nightmare. :(

Anyone find a name and picture of the grandson who was drowned?

Weird. She's on FB (under Raines) and looks totally normal. Was just posting on the 29th with comments about happiness, blah blah blah.

OMG. Yes, her FB page seems totally normal. How sad for that little boy. I have a 4 year old. So, this really breaks my heart even more. RIP little one. :(

Read her facebook post on January 28 of this year. She refers to whom I believe to be her grandson as "the little terror". She said she had to "Bruce Lee my grandson".

A small shrine was erected in a Fairfield driveway to the 4-year-old boy who drowned in a bathtub, as his grandmother was set to be arraigned Thursday on murder charges in connection with his death.
A painting of Jesus, teddy bears, candles and flowers stood near the doorstep in the 1400 block of Jefferson Street, paying tribute to Richard Kite, identified by Fairfield police as the little boy who drowned on Tuesday morning inside the home. Efforts to speak to the boy's family were unsuccessful.

"Fairfield grandmother doesn't enter plea. Dawn Raines-Hewes was unemotional. Dressed in special green suit to keep her from hurting self."

Drowning someone takes some time - even a small child. It is intentional. At some point, she had the ability to stop but purposely did not.

That poor child and his parents.
