OMG this is so sad seeing her family there...where the he11 is LE...they shouldn't have had to just walk in there like that, they should have been escorted!

I think they pulled it. Nothing there. But I think I did just see the family on the KRON website in the back of the room. Sadly, it didn't look good - although no news is probably the worst news for them. IMO

Fox says no arrests at this time but they are still looking at suspects. My goodness.

I once was friends with a trauma nurse, who said that they had a complaint when someone heard them laughing and joking while making rounds. He explained to me that the amount of trauma they deal with, the heartache they see, and know that they are about to have to deal with, then go home to their families at night- he said that it would drag them down, and they would stay depressed if they succumbed to it.

I can't fault them entirely from removing themselves from the horrific details they are about to be confronted with. I don't think it's necessarily right, but I don't know their jobs. Here we can joke on the basement thread then come to this thread for a press conference, and no one says anything. Of course, we arent there, live and in person.

But there, I dont know how comfortable I would be crying on the job, either. I'm sure they HAVE to remove themselves to some degree.

So I can't entirely judge/fault their small talk.
 
ABC 7 news just had over the tv up on top that they heard from a source that it was Sandra's remains

TRACY - Sources within local law enforcement tell FOX40 News the body of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu was recovered from inside a piece of luggage pulled from a drained irrigation ditch north of Tracy.

Cantu had been missing since Friday, March 27th, when she disappeared while returning home from a friend's house at the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park.

Authorities have not made any arrests in the case, although their investigation has focused on several persons of interest.
 
Well, media already found out what we expected, but I'm still waiting for LE to say it.
