Possible sighting 11-22 (Tues) in Anderson, CA "Travel Center" (gas station) Anderson, CA is not far (20 mi?) from Mountain Gate. Just putting it out there. She was discovered Thurs 11-24.
Anderson, CA is also directly off the I-5, the same as Redding, Mountain Gate, and the Yolo county location where she was discovered.

I found it from the comments section (I know, the comments!) of this article, which the text of Sheila Koester's Press Conference yesterday, 11/25. http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2016...held-by-sherri-papinis-sister-sheila-koester/
I have to admit, I thought that a family statement would have been sufficient if there was no intention to give further information in a Q&A session. But that's JMO.
Thanks. I was sent home from the hospital in very bad shape. I live alone and did not have anyone to help, I'm 76 years old and was kinda shocked. That is how it is these days though.
If she didn't do an interview, how many people would hyper critique her and the rest of the family for their inaction. Funny how it turns out she/they are hyper critiqued anyway. Go figure.
Not according to the witness who saw her on the side of the road.

I've been part of a high profile case. They are extra careful, and give you different, more private treatment in the hospital. But I just don't see them keeping her if she was stable. Anyway, this is just based on my personal experiences, and having family members who are medical providers in hospitals. I just can't see them keeping her, here in California. Not without a specific issue that needed to be addressed. If you are stable, you go home, and follow up with your regular doctor or a specialist.I understand that but we do not have a typical case here. We have an extremely high profile case of a missing mom who after 3 weeks is found. I'm really thinking that hospital protocol of "treat 'em and street 'em" applies here. If anything, they would be overly cautious. This is just my opinion, severely beaten in medical lingo does not allow for a treat and release in my neck of the woods and in my experience, that's all Im saying.
IMO she should not have taken questions. She could have just read the statement and walked off. I understand some are frustrated because she is not able to comment on the police investigation. I think she did a good job not revealing anything if there are things she knows she has been asked by LE not to make public. It's a fine line to walk being a public spokesperson and I know would not have been able to stand up there 6 months pregnant and handle all the questions. So on the basis of that, I won't criticize her answers/non-answers to the many things we would like to know. :moo:
Yeah,
I agree. Healthcare is *so* expensive these days. Tom Besenko stated many times that she was "treated and released." The "beaten" theory I don't subscribe to...
I state this as a former E.R. employee. the first press conference was 2pm on Thankgiving day and Bosenko stated she was "treated and released" I've seen people sit in a bed in the E.R. Dept for 8 hours. https://www.facebook.com/Shasta-County-Sheriffs-Office-1527637610823075/?hc_ref=PAGES_TIMELINE
Sure, perhaps she has priority since it was such a big case, but she arrived at, say, 5am to the hospital...to be out *for sure* by the 2pm press conference Thanksgiving Day is actually pretty good...as far as E.R. wait times. Again, I've seen people sit in a bed in the E.R. for 8 hours.

I saw an announcement there last night, giving a specific time they would be shutting it down and thanking everyone for their help. I'm paraphrasing here. The page said that there are still several people missing from the Redding area and to please continue to help on other missing cases on the (I think) the NorCal Missing Persons page.I believe so.
But that's my point my lovely gardening friend ;-)
Why did she stand up there at all? They could've released the statement through a spokesperson or through LE, or even on the FB page or through the media. It seemed an odd waste of time, almost.
I'm not saying this indicates anything by the way; I'm not sure it really does. I just found it another oddity amongst a thousand others.
Each oddity can be explained away one by one by one. But...... how many oddities should there be before this becomes altogether too odd? That's the stage I'm at with it all. I understand that each thing I find odd can be explained in some way, but why am I finding so many things odd?
It's all just... well, odd! I hope it just turns out that I'm a sceptic who needs to have more faith!
