She was "discovered in vegetation at the edge of the river." That's kind of weird. I wonder if she ate something and choked, or had a heart attack, or heat stroke or something. I'm so sorry to her family. :(

I was picturing that she fell in and got washed up into the vegetation. Condolences to her family, such a tragic end to a family vacation.

Is this the same Feather River where the Yeoman girl drowned?

I have been checking back here hoping to learn what was in the autopsy report. Anyone else interested? I looked extensively online but didn't find anything myself.

I am thinking maybe it is too soon? Some cases that are months old still don't have autopsy results available. I will be sure to post if I ever see anything in the local news.

It doesn't take this long for autopsy results unless there is toxicological screening for drugs (prescribed or otherwise). That can take months.

That's what it sounds like.
What a shocking turn of events in that case. IIRC, the family hadn't gotten together in a while and everyone was so excited to go on this trip. I wonder what could have happened. Very perplexing and sad. I hope the family is coping all right.
