So sad. She was so young and had such a pretty and angelic face. RIP Tina.

I agree that it is too early and still too few clues available to link Tina's to Elisa's death in any way.

---------------------------

One thing I did notice was that there is a huge construction going on at Seal Beach, which started late December and is expected to last several months.
This would attract quite a few workers from out of state, so there may be a few of them living in rented accommodation with some time to kill, excuse the pun. :moo:

From reading, it's a traditional custom for Asian families to keep low profile about deaths in the family

This is very true. Actually low profile about everything. I have Vietnames, Cambodian, and Korean neighbros and they are seriously private. Well, at least the older generation. This young lady is Vietnamese so I can just imagine how private things will be. Also, and this is from what I know of my neighbors that the community doesn't want to deal with police. Some of the older people don't even want to deal with anyone in uniform, period.

Pretty girl. Sadly at the age of 20 and racking up charges in Nevada, Florida and Californiame thinks she was definately working for someone. There's a pimp out there that I would bet.

RIP sweet girl. I am so sorry you didn't have a chance.

O/T Tina must have had a sense of humor given those FB monikers.

Looks like she was becoming a career prostitute.

Maybe not. She was only 20 years old. The lawyer said she had an education. Perhaps it was not by choice she was racking up all those charges in that given line of work.

Most young ladies don't wake up and decide on tricking for a career.

Just saying that with respect and good intentions. If someone does decide to follow that path I send a prayer of protection, and no judgement.

Good point about the pimp connection...also maybe an escort service or a "Heidi Fleiss" type of Madame operation

White memorial candles at both sites?

You mean candles placed at sights for mourners, not by the murder suspects right?

If not, I used to be into voodoo/Wicca back in my dumb days and can say that white candles represent in voodoo or Wicca or even satanic ritual the Spirit of the individual. It is believed that lighting a white candle can revoke spirits to do your bidding/aid you. Some believe these spirits are ancestors, others believe they are angels or demons.

Just throwing that wierd piece of info out there just because... Lol. I've had a strange life. Don't judge me.

I'm not sure about white candles placed at the Cecil but it was reported that three candles were found in the early morn burning nearby the Newport beach body and were taken into evidence.

The candles were ONLY at the site of the Newport victim. Absolutely no reference to them being found at the Cecil Hotel.

The reference to "burning" candles was not contained in most of the MSM articles, and I suspect it may have been an assumption on the part of a reporter.

Seems Tina's FB page is no longer available, and I still can't find anything reporting on where the baby was or is :(

A 20-year-old woman found dead in March in Newport Beach was the victim of a homicide, officials said Monday.

The Orange County coroner's recently office determined Tina Hoang was a murder victim, Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.

Lowe declined to release the cause of death, citing the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's report did not change the scope of the department's investigation, which the NBPD investigated as a suspicious death from the start, Lowe said.

On March 4, a passerby discovered Hoang's body lying facedown in the sand near West Oceanfront and Highland Street near lifeguard Tower 71.

I noticed the boyfriend/father of Tina's son has travelled to Vietnam.

The number 71 is significant to me IMHO bc the first car on the scene of the famous Black Dahlia murder was "car 71".

Could they be taunting police with leaving her body by tower 71? Reminding them of Elizabeth Shorts body being left and the investigators in 71 being the first to see the body after the call?

Just an idea.

Btw I pin pointed exactly where her body was found to give everyone an idea of just how close the beach is to the highway and how there was a direct road leading up toward the beach and tower where her body was left.

The purple pin represents the place Tina was found next to tower 71 (that little grey dot) hope this helps!

I will say that there is a public parking lot straight across from that little Highland inlet (that leads to tower 71).

There is a children's park/playground right there next to that little parking lot AND public bathrooms. One for males, another for females, both housed in the same building next to the playground.

(also noting just for record that the area to the left of the pin where the canal is is the beach dog park. This area by day is covered with ppl and their dogs, joggers, families at the playground, etc. this is why Tina's homicide in the location gives me goosebumps...)

I'm just remembering now why the number 71 haunted me. It's the number of victims the green river killer has been linked to murdering. It's the largest number of victims making him the most prolific (and despicable) SK in US history.

Wasn't it rumored that there was someone who helped him move the bodies/drive to and from the river?
