Elora's partner was Jean-Francois Gariepy, aka "JF"/"JFG". He is fairly well known among the alt-right and white nationalist/ethno-nationalist online circles. He has interviewed figures such as David Duke. Elora was known to his audience as "MamaJF," appeared on his show regularly, and is rumored to have a mental disability.

JF's past relationships
As a professor at Duke JF was romantically involved with an undergraduate student, whom he mentored/supervised in a lab. She moved into an apartment with him, and reports that he asked her to help him buy a gun after he became worried about her former boyfriend, but she declined. (This info is gathered from the court documents referenced below.)
In 2015 JF was married to a woman (JLN) who divorced him while she was pregnant as she became frightened by his behavior. She obtained sole custody of the child in proceedings in which JF represented himself. He was court ordered to be psychologically evaluated. [
court docs posted here] The psychological evaluation noted "His translation of reality and interpretations of the world around him are routinely or habitually impaired" "His struggles with understanding others results in a lack of empathy regarding others, in that he finds it near impossible to take the perspective of another."
Major allegations of events in this dispute include:
- Initiating event was JF being extremely controlling regarding JLN's use of 5HTP supplement while pregnant, where he threatened to take the child to Canada over her usage of this, so she temporarily moved out
- JF calls the police department to have his weapons removed from the apartment, which he said was because he did not want anyone to feel unsafe or make false abuse allegations
- JLN is contacted by a domestic abuse unit with the police department asking about her safety, and then later informed by the DV unit that JF had been trying to contact and locate her, and had her landlord open her apartment for him to search it, so she sent a cease and desist letter
- months after they separated and after she had sent the cease and desist letter he leaves his job stating his intention to be a stay at home dad
- multiple nurses had contacted the Duke Hospital Risk Management department after he toured a maternity ward, due to his bizarre behavior, the director of that department informed the police, and Duke provided security during her delivery.
During these proceedings he began talking with a 19 year old girl in Texas, while he was over 30.
Court records for proceedings brought by this girl's father in 2016 state that he "lured" this 19 year old autistic woman who two psychologists determined to be disabled and unable to provide consent, from Texas to North Carolina, in order to impregnate her. He believed that she was pregnant and was upset the father was intervening. The court appointed her parents as guardians as a result of this event. JF continues to publicly defend this relationship and state that he was in love with this woman.
Elora and JF's relationship
Information in this section is gathered from statements from both Elora and JF in recorded streams.
JF and Elora have been together for 5 years, since 2018. Elora was 25 when they met and is now 30, JF is 39.
Elora said in a stream that after she found JF online she became a fan and became obsessed with him and lost 'everything' such as her job, friends, and family because she was so obsessed with his show such as spending time in the bathroom at work to watch his streams which got her fired. They have also shared that she used to enjoy partying and going to raves, and JF has told a story about going to a rave with her.
In 2021 Elora left JF unexpectedly for 2 weeks to stay with family, during that time JF threatened on stream to find a new relationship if she did not return right away. Elora returned and said that she left because she thought JF wanted to break up with her. While she left unexpectedly, she was reachable during this time.
According to neighbors responding to the missing person report on Facebook, Elora and JF were raising two children, including one who was an infant. They were not married officially but were common-law spouses. Elora and JF shared on the show about a year ago that JF was spearheading trying to have a child, JF was monitoring her body temp in order to plan a pregnancy.
Here is a compilation of Elora and JF posted to YouTube, including a bizarre section where she accuses another white nationalist streamer "No White Guilt" of being a ghost or shapeshifter who has followed her around and tried to kill her for 3 years, while the men smile and nod. JF explains that someone else attacked her but she has put the blame onto No White Guilt. She also says that she used to smoke a lot of weed and heard God talk to her in her head.
Timeline & JF's statements
May 14, 2023: JF streams on Mother's Day expressing spite and resentment towards mothers, that women are destroying society and good mothers worth celebrating no longer exists, women don't take families seriously and they are constantly causing divorce. He says that women who divorce their husbands should "pay for it" in the form of giving up all time with the kids. He makes no mention of or exception for his wife and mother of his children who he lives with.
Friday June 16, 2023: JF does his last show before Elora leaves.
Saturday June 17, 2023: JF will later say that this is the day that he dropped Elora off on in front of cameras at a gas station by the bridge out of PEI in Borden-Carlton, per her request, with nothing but her phone and a bag.
Sunday June 18, 2023: JF is not sure whether he had contact with Elora on this day.
Monday June 19, 2023: JF says that Elora either called him or texted him to tell him that she is breaking her promise to JF and that she is going to ditch her phone and get a new phone and will not be reachable. Later, RCMP reports this is the last day she was seen in Mockton.
Tuesday June 20, 2023: JF returns to streaming. He says that Mama JF has "abandoned the family once again" and that women will always choose to "be a crackwhore on the street" rather than to be in a stable relationship, "they are all crackwhores deep inside". However he gives her credit for not trying to destroy him or the family when leaving. He says he took the days off to reorder the home now that he will be in charge of keeping the home. He says on his stream that he did "so much cleaning, so much reinstalling, so much plastering of the walls, construction, renovation" "It's like sterilized, this home now, I can walk finally". He says that he is not actively seeking a new relationship but "if there are women who are seeking insemination, I would be available at this point"

October 1st/2nd: This is when JF said that investigators first showed up to discuss Elora's disappearance, and that they had a van parked in front of his home and woke him up early in the morning for 4-5 days straight.
October 3rd: First missing person posting is released by RCMP stating she was last seen in Borden-Carleton.
October 4th: JF comments on the missing person report on twitter and opens a proton mail account so that people can send encrypted tips directly to him. Someone asks if he was the last known person to see her since June, and he says "no," however based on the RCMP report it does seem that to his knowledge he would have been the last known person to see her at this time, as the June 19th sighting had not yet been released. He says, "She has been traveling and leaving an electronic trace far from mine, so I do not expect to be a suspect in her disappearance."
JF later streams sharing his side of the story and assuring his audience that he doesn't expect to be a suspect in her disappearance, because for the first 2 days she was missing she was leaving an electronic trace far from his. He says he was under the belief that she was going on some sort of "survivalist trip" and in May had started to shop for "camping gear". He says that she promised him she would be reachable throughout the trip she was going on and would not get rid of her phone, until she told him she was changing her mind and he believed she was going off the grid, as she had done in the past. He says she is probably "out there having fun, exposing herself to great risks," "no one knows if someone has raped you and put your body in a ditch." He suggests that if he had been able to exercise legal control over her as her husband she would not be missing and making bad decisions. He does ask Elora to contact someone if she is watching. [

October 5th: RCMP release statement that the last known sighting of Elora was in Mockton with a description of her clothing and the statement that she was carrying a 'book bag.'
October 6th: JF does an interview on another conservative show, The Crucible with Andrew Wilson. Wilson comments that a precondition of the interview was that there were to be no mentions of their children. [

In this show JF tweaks his story slightly, now stating that he doesn't believe that Elora has left to spend an extended time in the wild, and would be blending in among human society, and likely even jumping the border to another country or smuggling herself onto a boat. This video shows the subtle changes in his story.

In this stream he also says that he thinks she is super-capable of safely traveling without an identity, money or a phone and that she has done this in the past. He downplays the idea that she could be in danger.
October 8th: JF does an interview with Laura DeLaguna on youtube, but ends the interview abruptly as she brings up their children, as not bringing them up had been another precondition of this interview. The final straw was Laura repeatedly asking why Elora would abandon her kids, which she claims was a crime. [

October 9th: JF appears on The Dick Show.
He makes comments such as:
- stating that he has "uncovered the killer's bounty"
- Asked if his goal is to impregnate as many women as possible: "I'm just a family guy who wanted a large family with a single woman but the world didn't want to give it to me and so i'm on a quest of vengeance, and so I spray and prey until I get my vengeance."
- lamenting that he is being accused while the real issue is "female decision making" and the fact that women are allowed to make decisions for themselves
- stating that in past streams he has detailed his ideas on how to get away with murder, and explains, "modern murder cannot be executed if you do not have a full electonic alibi" "you would need a simulation of your hand clicking on the phone, or a macro recorder" "if there is no crime scene, it is so much harder, and so there needs to be a complete elimination of even the idea that a murder has happened"
- states that he has experienced grief in the first months after he left, "not the grief of knowing she's dead but the grief of having control over your wife, the grief of yeah, you're going to have to live without knowing"
Questions for Web Sleuths
- Is whatever security camera that may have been monitoring the gas station that JF says he dropped Laura off in front of likely to still have footage from as far back as 6/17?
- What level of certainty would the RCMP need to have about the sighting on 6/19 in order to put out the press release about this sighting? Does the fact that no picture is included mean that it was likely not captured on video?
