Sorry. Just read @Cyrptic's reply. Why are you guessing they are brothers?
Is there a particular group that targets other particular groups in Canada? Totally in the dark but it sort of appears some are not suprised?!! Please advise...anyone?

Because media reported that they are brothers. And they have the same surname. Why are you guessing they are brothers?

According to most articles horrifically there were more than 15 injured as victims made their own way to hospitals.Police in Regina were on the hunt for two suspects Sunday after 10 people were stabbed to death and at least 15 others injured in two Saskatchewan communities three hours north of the capital city.
RCMP Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore says the dead and injured were found in 13 locations on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon.
She says some people were targeted and others were attacked at random.
Multiple stabbings in Saskatchewan triggers dangerous persons alert across provinces
Saskatchewan RCMP say they are looking for two suspects after multiple random stabbings in the province on Sunday.calgary.citynews.ca
Absolutely correct. Very frightening because they will need vehicles to continue so they will have to do this illegally. One woman said her door was broken into. I don't know what happened to her but I imagine she may have either been uninjured or someone in her home was as she didn't say anyone being killed, thankfully. It is now nightfall and getting later into the evening and they haven't been caught yet. Which makes me think they are being very discreet but are even more dangerous now because they won't hesitate to do whatever they can to escape. However sometimes when this kind of manhunt happens as we've seen before these people kill themselves. So lets hope for the best that they turn themselves in.Two things are scary here:
There may be victims who have yet to be discovered.
These guys are still on the run, and there's no reason for them to stop killing.
Historically there were some Anglo Metis, who were descended from Scottish and English men, but they were not as numerous as the ones with French heritage, and I'm not sure how much their surnames have continued among modern Metis communities. MOOThough neither suspect has a French last name or a French first name, perhaps a certain number of Metis have English names?
Unfortunately and very sadly there were child victims. With so many victims, I can't imagine that family members of the victims who know the perps won't speak up. We won't likely see the trial though, and possibly the trial might end up with a publication ban if there were child victims in particular. (Hopefully there haven't been child victims!)
Unfortunately there were random victims also. So its not only family members. This is so dreadful and frightening.
So many lives lost - likely members of the same families from the mass casualties at the houses at the James Smith Cree Nation.
My heart goes out to all of those families who have lost their loved ones. May they be surrounded by love and support at this unfathomable time.
One of the earliest news reports I read today described the two men as "brothers".Because media reported that they are brothers. And they have the same surname.
My heart goes out to my friends to the North. What a horrible senseless tragedy.
Trying to familiarize with the area where this happened & was surprised to see the alert actually showing on G maps. The suspects seem to be heading south & close to the border of the U.S. near Montana & N Dakota. Wondering if this is intentional on their part?

Thanks for sharing this. I had definitely assumed they were brothers based on early media reports. One of the earliest news reports I read today described the two men as "brothers".
Looks like that specific news article "assumed" they were brothers" as that has not been reported anywhere else. The surname "Sanderson" is not an uncommon name in that area.
'It is horrific what has occurred': 10 dead, at least 15 injured in Saskatchewan stabbings
RCMP are still looking for the suspects, with alerts now covering three provinces.thestarphoenix.com
"Police are searching for Damien Sanderson, 31, and Myles Sanderson, 30. Damien is 5-foot-7 and 155 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Myles is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. No further details were provided about the relationship between the two men."
I'd be shocked if they tried to cross the border. They are known and the border agents would have been notified. It seems that they are keeping a low profile now so I'd guess they would settle into a 'safe house' in Regina, or head to Calgary or Winnipeg. (Based on my criminal mind, of course.)
Thank you. I don't deserve a special shout out. I'm sure our other 'regular' Canejuns would be here if it wasn't a long weekend. Many people are off-line, spending time with their families. If only the victims' families now had that luxury. This is breaking my heart.Thank you @Snoopster for keeping us up to date with the news articles and timelines all day.
You are greatly appreciated.

I hope LE catches up with them soon so locals can relax and victims' relatives have a sense of justice.
Are you familiar with the area? I have family that ranches in southern Saskatchewan and southern Alberta and it’s not difficult at all to cross into the US without meeting border agents.
