The article also mentions that his car was reported abandoned on November 26 at 2:20pm, more than 12 hours after he was last seen. It appears that something happened to him that day.

By the way, this RCMP release has a really good timeline.

RCMP in British Columbia - Search for Daniel Reoch continues as concern for his wellbeing grows
  • November 25th at 10:00 am: Daniel had contact with Squamish RCMP where he was taken into custody
  • November 25th at 5:00 pm: released from RCMP custody on Finch Drive
  • November 25th at 6:00 pm: Daniel was seen on surveillance video at the Tim Horton's on Progress Way
  • November 25th at 6:46 pm: Daniel was seen at the Walmart in Squamish
  • November 25th at 7:07 pm: Daniel was seen at Tim Horton's on Progress Way
  • November 25th at 7:07 pm: Daniel received a ride from a friend at Tim Horton's to the Cheakamus area.
  • November 25th at 11:30 pm: Daniel's vehicle was believed to have been seen parked at Lewis Drive and Squamish Valley Road
  • November 26th at 1:00 am: Daniel is seen by on the rear deck of a residence in the 6500 block of Squamish Valley Road and he walked off the deck and through a trails that led to Lewis Drive
  • November 26th at 2:20 pm: Daniel's vehicle was reported as abandoned to the Squamish RCMP
So, It would appear that after release from custody, he went to a few businesses, got a ride to the Cheakamus area (did he live there?), was seen at a nearby residence (was he known to the occupants?), then walked to his car (his car being there leads me to believe he lives in the area) and presumably drove it to some unknown destination. I believe they're purposefully not releasing where the car was found, but it was found somewhere 'unusual' as it was reported abandoned within the day.

with respect to a possible connection between Marshal Iwaasa - where he was last seen (though his car could have been abandoned elsewhere) is a little over an hour away from where Marshal's car was found.

Daniel’s disappearance….tragedy has struck the family once again -

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/police-honour-april-reoch-1.270363
“For years the street cops had watched April Reoch's drug fueled slide toward a young death. On Monday Vancouver Police officers gathered to honor the 25-year-old, and to say good-bye.

Reoch became known to Downtown Eastside beat cops when she hit the area's drug alleys seven years ago.

As she tried to escape her drug addiction she let the Vancouver Police anti-drug team, called the Odd Squad, film her struggles.

Police now show the award winning documentary 'Through the Blue Lens' in schools to warn kids off drugs.

On Christmas morning April's body was found stuffed in a cloth bag in a rooming-house dumpster….”

Through a Blue Lens - Wikipedia
“An official follow-up titled Tears For April: Beyond The Blue Lens (2007), re-introduces the late April Reoch and focuses directly on her struggles with addiction until the discovery of her body on Christmas Day, 2000. Reoch's son Daniel, is also featured in this documentary.

DR gave no reason for walking off? Was there some sort of altercation or disagreement? Anyone know why he was taken into custody by Squamish RCMP the day before? Was he depressed I wonder? After his abandoned vehicle was reported to the RCMP, didn’t they attempt to contact anyone to try determine to determine why it was abandoned?

He wasn’t reported missing until Jan 7th means nobody noticed he was nowhere to be found after he was last seen Nov 26th - that’s about six weeks over Christmas and New Years as well. Nobody, no friends, no co-workers, no roommates, no girlfriends, no relatives, always an additional depth of sadness to a missing persons case when nobody becomes alarmed over their absence for that length of time…..JMO

Daniel visited Tim Hortons, then Walmart, then Tim Hortons again, and was then picked up by someone who gave him a ride to the area of his aunt's house. He seemed out of it that evening as well, calling a dog by the wrong name and saying he was "getting married," which was apparently not true. On The Vanished episode, family suggest Daniel "seemed to think people were after him" during the months before he disappeared.
This quote was taken from the Ws thread for Marshal Iwaasa. I strongly believe their cases are related. The man who reportedly seen DR and MI together with a "sketchy guy" is known around the Squamish area. He seems to hold a good reputation and has been a part of the community for his whole life. He would have no reason to lie, and he would be able to recognize someone who didn't appear to be from the Squamish area, as it is a smaller community.

Does anybody know WHO gave Daniel a ride? Perhaps whoever it was, was the same man who was reportedly seen with MI and DR at "That Irish Place". Maybe Daniel convinced him to let him go see his aunt one last time and it was DR's last ditch effort in getting some kind of help from family or LE?

That could explain why DR's car was later found abandoned, idling, with the drivers door open. Maybe he attempted to escape but the man caught up to him before he could successfully escape.

Just my speculation, Danny's case is a big mystery and there are a lot of missing pieces.
I did a deep dive into this Facebook as it is public, and he posted a lot. He seemed to be someone who wore his heart on his sleeve and was open about his struggles in life. That being said, its also very clear he was a HUGE family man. I don't believe Daniel went missing of his own volition. The reason I think that is because he has young children and he knows what its like to grow up without parents. I do not believe he would put his children through what he had to go through.

Like I said, JMO and MOO... if anyone has anything to add please do. It is important that we keep these cases alive. Daniel is out there somewhere and he needs to be found.

Also I highly recommend looking into the possible connections between Daniel's case and Marshal's case. Especially the fact that some of the items found at Marshal's burnt truck site are Daniels, according to his family. On MI's Facebook Group, DR's ex Keyleyla said she recognizes the black work boots. MI's BIL Dawson asked her to confirm size, and she was able to give an approximate size, to which Dawson said the same items DR's family are claiming to be Daniels are the items MI's family originally told LE they DO NOT BELIEVE TO BE MARSHALS!

Either LE has totally botched these two cases or they are working hard behind the scenes because they have more leads, clues, and evidence that they are making known to the families and public. Of course, I hope it is the latter, but until we know we HAVE to keep looking for answers.
