Victoria man's disappearance 'completely out of character,' wife says

I wonder how much time elapsed between Ian's wife hearing him and the dog and when she went into the kitchen.

"A few hours later, at around 7 a.m., Mendez briefly woke up and heard Indridson playing with their dog, Willow, in the kitchen. She rolled over and fell back asleep.

Indridson and Mendez have developed a morning routine over the years. He’ll get out of bed before her, walk Willow, and putter around in the kitchen before coming back to wake her up shortly after 7:15 a.m.

So when Mendez woke up that morning and saw it was 7:50 a.m., the dog had been fed, and coffee was on but there was no sign of Indridson, she knew immediately something was wrong."

"He took nothing but the clothes on his back--no wallet, no ID, no phone, no keys, no jacket. He'd been experiencing terrible anxiety and was severely sleep deprived. This disappearance is completely out of character and local police have no leads."

‘I’m not going to give up on him’: Victoria woman continues search for missing husband - Vancouver Island Free Daily

QUOTES FROM THE ARTICLE:

If the police have any leads they haven’t told her of them, [Indridson's wife] said. “I get the sense that they’re finding this case very frustrating because there are really no breadcrumbs to follow.”

She knows police have been looking for any nearby surveillance footage, but hasn’t heard if anything has come of it. Mendez believes Indridson may have headed down to Dallas Road on Jan. 10.

Victoria police public affairs officer Const. Cam MacIntyre told Black Press Media Indridson was known to frequent beaches in Victoria, particularly in the Ross Bay area.

“We have done extensive searches of these areas but ask our community to be aware and report anything that could help us find Ian,” MacIntyre said.

Bumping this up as it's now been two months since Ian Indridson went missing.

A quick rundown of important facts:
- He disappeared from his home in Victoria, BC, in the early morning hours of Jan 10
- He left with no ID, no money, no phone
- He was suffering from anxiety and insomnia

He could be practically anywhere by now -- please keep your eyes out for him!

Bumping this up for Ian's family, as there's now been no sign of him for over five months, despite search crews' efforts.

Anyone know of any [Canadian-inclusive] resources that could give this story a broader reach?

Printing some of these off for the mainland. With the ferries and frequent travellers to/from the island, you never know who might know something. Feeling for Ian and his family. No trace, no crumbs to follow :( hoping that information becomes available.
