This is really sad. Why so little news on this beautiful girl? I am heart broken that she hasn't been found yet.

I agree and IMO, the boyfriend is possibly involved.

Cadaver dogs search for missing teen

The Undercurrent has learned that cadaver-trained dogs from Washington State were used during an Aug. 8 search on Bowen for missing teen Jodi Henrickson.

On Wednesday the head of the Bowen RCMP detachment, Cpl. Don Southern, said that the animals did not find any clues and added that search teams have not been back to the island since.

“It’s still the same,” Southern said. “And all we can do is to continue to do our due diligence and hope for the best result.”

People can also call the Bowen detachment or the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100.

“Some people might think that their information is not significant,” said Const. Simon Campbell of the Bowen detachment. “But call and let the RCMP judge it and follow up and see what comes of it. Even a small piece of information might be helpful.

“Someone might have seen or heard something that might help crack the case.”

Strange that this person who is claiming some type of knowledge would post their phone number?

I did a search of the number and it shows a location of Vancouver, BC off of Granville Street and Georgia Street. The information I gleaned was that it is a cell phone through Telus.

Sounds like a possible hoax...possible.

Just an FYI...Bowen Island is NW of Vancouver, across the inlet from Horseshoe Bay. Lovely area although I prefer Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island...where I used to live.

Was thumbing through a few pages on the RCMP news - a couple things stood out for me. One is the number of cougar issues they seem to have in the region. However, I am not sure this is likely, since some evidence of a cougar attack would be found. Only humans are devious enough to cover up their murders.

Another was a report of a 28 year old man wandering off after a house party in the area and being found dead, having seemingly rolled down an embankment. The reason this stood out for me is that Cpl Ritchie was also heading that case. Investigations into the cause of death are ongoing, it seems.

Sea to Sky Regional Police Services are asking for assistance in locating missing seventeen year old female

Squamish, B.C. - Jody HENRIKSON last had contact with her family and friends on Friday June 19th, 2009 and advised that she was heading camping for the weekend and would be returning home on Monday or Tuesday at the lastest. Jody was reported missing to Squamish Detachment by her family on the evening of Wednesday June 24th, 2009.

Police have determined that HENRIKSON attended to a house party on Bowen Island and was last seen between 6 - 7 AM on Saturday June 20th, Jody has not contacted any or her family or friends and this behaviour is totally out of character for her. Jody is described as being ;

17year old Caucasian female, long dark brown hair, small build, approximatley 5'3". Jody was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, black long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.

Squamish RCMP are asking anyone with information on Jody's whereabouts, knows were she may be or anyone who was in contact with Jody on Bowen Island who has not spoken with police to contact them at Squamish Detachment 604-892-6100.
