This was hashed out here quite a while ago in great detail. The burned out RAV4 was found at Sundance. And since Sundance is near Bird, I don't see the problem.
I saw that. Fox Lake Cree Nation includes Bird; that's why I was wondering why you took issue with the poster by saying it "was not at Bird".

“The Fox Lake Cree Nation currently consists of about 1100 members with about 500 residents in the home Reserves in Bird and Gillam Reserve and the Town of Gillam.”

Thank you. One of the reasons I've hesitated to join here after reading the past few weeks was because of certain posters insisting on arguing over the simplest facts. It's frustrating to scroll through it all, only to see it happening again thread after thread.

The footage is of them walking outside of the store. They put a black bar over one of the staff in the store, who looks like they are operating a cash register. There wouldn't be an ATM sitting on the sidewalk in front of the store, that would block people's ability to go in and out.

there is two sets of doors

That was my thought as well but then again I haven't looked at the store on Google Street View either.

ETA: Just watched security video again and I see what looks like a bush, so I guess they are outside. However, I still highly doubt it's anything other than a well placed security camera. JMO

I didn't take issue with the poster. They referenced an instagram map, and that map shows a location for the burned car this is not accurately showing where it was found. I was just letting them know the map is incorrect.

This sketch could have been of some well-meaning bystander who stopped to offer assistance.

Circa 11:30pm: Alandra Hull, road crew supervisor, was returning to her work camp and saw a bearded man confronting the couple. They were standing next to the van and he was standing in the middle of the highway. His grey car was parked down the road facing south. She said he looked frustrated. She saw him walk towards the pair and said they looked bothered. She subsequently gave a statement to the police and worked with a sketch artist to provide a composite of the man.

Alandra Hull is Trevor Pierre's boss.

Here is the incredible @RenataDAliesio with a tale about how a river guide’s sharp eye & a sleeping bag, triggered a search that ended the RCMP manhunt. That guide was Clint Sawchuk. Here's his boat helping the police search on July 27. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-tour-guide-who-spotted-sleeping-bag-in-nelson-river-triggered-search/ …

From your link -
“He knew the sleeping bag could be significant because he was one of handful of local residents who had been helping the RCMP scour the river and shoreline for any sign of fugitives Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod.”

They could have declined his help, and perhaps this frustrated him.

He might have also been mechanically inclined, and might not have liked the strategy of waiting it out.

Who knows.

. I believe they have to go on more than visual recognition.
Yes i agree. Even if they are able to identify someone by looking at them they need concrete proof. This is an open an ongoing investigation . Everything has to be done by the book. In my opinion if the bodies were so bad off that they couldn’t visually recognize them they wouldn’t have said they are confident it is them .

Well that explains it! I don't have an Instagram account, so I wondered why only the pics of the perps came up in the poster's earlier post link to it.

The courts ordered him to maintain his meds. Apparently he didn't.

I thought the courts just admonished him to take care of his mental health. There wasn’t any specific info stated. It could have simply meant attend counselling when feeling despondent. If it was to take medications wouldn't they have specified that??

It's double doors. If you look at the reflection, you can see the outside doors in the glass (the 2nd set). So the camera is placed between those 2 sets of doors.

Similar thinking here, except I wonder if the ride downstream started to get a bit bumpy and they saw the rapids approaching...then, unable to navigate or paddle the SS Minnow back to shore, they had to jump ship and swim to shore as final resort. As you suggested, the boat and jug then went through the rapids, and the bozos had to leave their wet clothes on shore and go into the woods for shelter and an attempt to warm up.

And now you know, the rrrrest of the story.

some one asked before what it would be like to be on the Hudson Bay in a little metal row boat and suggested it would be like death. Didn't the river look too big for the boat from the minute they saw it?

I think their bodies are probably in bad shape due to the elements--and also because MOO but I think they killed themselves shortly after getting there and have probably been dead a couple of weeks--but I think the proximity to their items, the fact there are 2 of them, and if they are relatively intact, the fact they are two youngish, tall, white men would give them confidence even if they couldn't confidently ID visually them. Because the odds of them being anyone else are pretty slim. I don't know if BS had distinguishing marks beyond his height and thin frame, but KM had distinctive moles on his face that, if still visible, may have provided a quick on-the-spot confirmation for him.

They were also both around 6'4".
