I have a feeling that AS will go back to the media to get answers, and then maybe we will get some glipse or he'll tell us. Time will tell though.

The media doesn’t have the answers. If AS seeks counselling, he will come to eventually realize riding off the notoriety of his son who’s only claim to fame is being a murderer of three innocent people isn’t doing himself any favours. He’s just being used. JMO

All great questions---which is why I am dying to see those videos they left behind.

In my mind, there are two likely scenarios, for the end of life videos.

One scenario, would be the 'we are innocent' narrative: a series of urgent videos, where they defend themselves and deny the accusations, and explain why they are running. They say goodbye to their families and assure them they were falsely accused but feel hopeless...

OR

they do the opposite narrative---the Bad Boys on the Run series of videos. Maybe justifying and explaining their actions, but not denying their guilt? Apologising to their friends and family but explaining why happened, in a rebellious, rogue way?

I really feel like the videos fall roughly in one of these two categories. What else could they say? Any ideas?

I doubt video footage will be shared. I think the only way the general public will be updated in regards to this will be by reporters asking questions (and LE answering), most likely following a brief statement from LE confirming video was recovered.

So, what questions would be satisfactory to the general public?

I have a few:
1. From the video evidence did the suspects show remorse for their actions?
2. Did the suspects refer to the victims by their names?
3. Did the suspects confirm whether they were acquainted with their victims prior to their murders? If so, what was revealed?
3. Did the suspects video the victims after their deaths or prior?

I'd personally be quite shocked if they referred to their victims by name. I think to Kam and Bryer, Lucas and Chynna were "the couple with the van" and Leonard Dyck was "the old man with the Rav4."

I'm curious if they make an organized attempt to tell "their side of the story" or if it's just sort of random monologues. On a related note, if they are full of excuses or actually own up to whatever happened. Also if they indicate anything was planned.

If they had no internet or checked the media the entire time they were on the run they wouldn't know their name regardless.

They took all IDs and may have looked at Chynna's surname "Deese".

We discussed if they stopped at "Dease" Lake intentionally, because of some twisted urge to leave a crumb.

Indeed! But I suspect they were periodically checking coverage over the weekend before they hit the woods when they stopped at stores and gas stations, so they may have picked up on Lucas and Chynna's names during that period.

Even though they took the IDs apparently and they could have definitely known from that, I don't think the names ever really registered with them, though. They may not have even looked at their identification to see their names. MOO

I suspect attempting to evade police wasn’t as much fun as they thought it might be, especially when they became aware no escape was possible. After the adrenaline from the murders wore off, hours and hours on the road, they began to wear on each other’s nerves and disagreements erupted, cold nights, hunger, clouds of sand flies, soaking wet from rain or the river, desolation.....they just gave up and took the cowardly way out IMO.

BBM.

I somehow doubt that was the case. They were bonded friends from childhood. They probably loved each other like brothers, possibly with more depth because they loved each other for who they were, and not because of blood ties.

Whatever happened probably brought them even closer. Imagine witnessing death side by side with someone, that’s a make-or-break experience. There was a point where one of them, if so inclined, could have said “this is too much” and bailed on the other. But they, to quote their coworker, were stuck together like glue.

I imagine there was maybe some despair about what they did, at least in one of them. But the thought of leaving the other could have been absolutely inconceivable.

And the decision to end their lives was likely a mutual one, maybe formed long before they reached Gillam.

JMO. (sidenote, I cringe when people call suicide the “cowards way out”. It’s a real tasteless phrase, to put it politely. JMO JMO JMO JMO)
