I am not sure when she goes to court for her charges in this case, but I am pretty sure she will get some jail time.Well deserved IMO.

Thanks laurie!

I think it all depends if she has jury trial or just goes before a judge. The people of Medicine Hat are very unforgiving in this crime and she may get a shorter sentence if she chooses a judge.I don't believe for one second she knew nothing.

..although she has been under house arrest since the murders, for the last 2 1/2 years, that will count for something.

..i also believe that she absolutely knew what was going on when she cleaned out his truck and drove them away.

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - A 19-year-old charged in connection with a gruesome triple homicide last month was freed on bail Thursday and is subject to house arrest.
A series of strict conditions are attached to Kacy Lancaster's bail agreement, a Medicine Hat provincial court judge ruled Thursday.

I'll never forget this case, or Jasmine Richardson, who at the age of 12 was the driving force behind the murders of her parents and baby brother. For years she has refused to accept responsibility for her role in the crime.

I suspect the judge is right and that she is unlikely to kill again. Still, when I hear that she is grateful for how the extensive rehab has allowed her "to grow," it seems clear that she still doesn't get it. Nor, I fear, do I.

A woman who was just 12 when she helped murder her family in southeast Alberta is getting more freedom. During an annual sentence review in Medicine Hat today, Queen's Bench Justice Scott Brooker agreed to lift the woman's curfew on weekends.

The now 21-year-old woman appeared via closed-circuit television, thanking the judge after his decision...

The woman's curfew will remain in effect from 11:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday. The woman is to be fully released without supervision in May 2016.

I'm absolutely dying to hear her side of the story. This case has fascinated me from the beginning.

He would've graduated high school this year.

On April 23, 2006, the boy—who we still can't legally name—was killed in his bed. The eight-year-old's throat was cut from end to end, his blood splattered on his toys...

This spring is also when J.R. completes her sentence. In May, she will make her final court appearance—in person in Medicine Hat—and then be a mostly free woman. If she doesn't commit any crimes for five years, the murders will be wiped from her record.

A 22-year-old Canadian woman, who at 12 years old became the youngest person ever charged with multiple counts of murder in Canada, has been freed from the criminal justice system...

J.R. was 12 years old on April 23, 2006, when authorities in Medicine Hat, Alberta, found the bodies of her parents, Marc Richardson, 42, and Debra Richardson, 48, and her 8-year-old brother, Jacob, inside their home at 304 Cameron Road...

J.R. has managed to keep a low profile since her release from the facility. What becomes of Canada’s youngest triple killer will ultimately depend on how she handles herself on the outside. Her juvenile record, the judge ordered, will be destroyed if she can go five years without any legal altercations.

Seriously Alta, be careful! She is truly a psychopath and you and I will probably meet up here again in about 10 years when she slips up again. Sad!

did you guys ever meet up for the 10 year thing? i mean its 12 years now
