O Canada! What the **** are you doing? Teachers must go through annual offence declarations, get fingerprinted before they are hired (IF you happen to have the same name as a criminal or a date of birth that coincides with someone who has committed a major crime) and pay for complete criminal profile checks (as a student teacher and when hired at a school board). BUT.......allows a known child rapist and child murderer to volunteer at a school. How did she get by the criminal profile check???

This is the first I've heard of it. I'm furious.

WTF is wrong with that school?

Absolutely outrageous and anyone supporting her "right" to be in the school must have a screw loose.

Conditions based upon a plea for her life correct? Meaning she could fully be responsible but because she was willing to testify against another she got off lightly? Doesn't absolve her does it? And just because she hasn't reoffended in any way doesn't absolve her of her past does it? idk

Quoting my self in response to redheadedgals comment that she has no conditions and hasn't reoffended (don't know how to do multiple quotes) I brought up the fact that she is not absolved....

Because legally on paper she has no conditions and hasn't reoffended doesn't mean she didn't commit these crimes. She is not absolved of her crimes, she is not guilt free or free of responsibility regardless of what is on paper.

Just like Aron Hernandes on paper is not a criminal, his conviction was wiped out when he died, on paper, it doesn't absolve him of the murder.

She still makes everything all about her. Being exposed every time she moves or changes her name. She plays the victim. Not the girls she totured, and murdered, not their loved ones left to griev till their last breath. She doesn't care for anyone but Karla Homolka.
So tragic for the victims. They have been denied true justice. She killed them because she couldn't stand the fact that through no fault of their own her hubby was more attracted to them. Her narcissism would not allow that.
I bet there are more that have not been found. I doubt they stopped their perverse actions on their honeymoon in Niagra.

There is a Facebook page now called "Watching Karla Homolka". On September 11, 2017, they reposted a picture of Ms. Homolka/Teale/Bordelais sitting in a doctors office waiting room. The post has sparked some debate as to whether or not she is being harassed. Judging from the picture, time has not been kind to Karly Kurls.

My heart just breaks for Homolka’s children. Not only will they have to learn to cope with taunts and possibly worse from other students, but I can’t imagine how they will deal with learning the truth about their Mom, the person they adore.

It was the ultimate of her selfishness, cruelty and wrong-headedness for her to bring children into this world, knowing full well what they would have to face and try to cope with in their lifetimes. Potential for huge damage to each of her innocent children.

I do not think I have despised any person in my life more than I do Homolka.

Convicted killer Paul Bernardo appeared via video link from his prison in Millhaven, Ont. this morning where he was charged with one count of possession of a weapon.

According to court documents obtained by CTV News Toronto, Bernardo is accused of possessing a homemade shank composed of a screw and a pen for a handle, allegedly for the purpose of committing an offence.

The offence date listed in the court documents is February 9, 2018.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt with dirty blonde hair piled atop his head.

According to a CTV News Toronto reporter inside the courtroom at the time, Bernardo was smiling and laughing at someone off camera, presumably a prison guard, as he waited for court to begin.

I don't think he is dyeing it. Still same ole dirty blonde. Killer is still kept isolated. I would suspect that shank was meant for a guard or any other personnel he has contact with. IMO. Link above speaks to him being kept isolated.

NAPANEE, ONT. -Convicted killer Paul Bernardo will stand trial in October on a weapon possession charge laid in connection with an offence allegedly committed in a maximum-security prison.

Bernardo is facing one count of possession of a weapon, alleged to be a shank comprised of a screw and pen.

The sexual predator became eligible for day parole back in 2015 but he&#8217;s repeatedly postponed his hearing. It&#8217;s now scheduled for October.

So when told his trial on the weapons charge will be held Oct. 26, Bernardo demurred. &#8220;I have a parole date in October,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;I would like to have the matter handled before that.&#8221;

The judge agreed to move it up to Oct. 5.

&#8220;There you go, Mr. Bernardo,&#8221; Griffin said. &#8220;You will be brought to court in person.&#8221;

&#8220;Ok, thank you, Your Honour,&#8221; he replied.

How lucky for the lifer &#8212; an outing in the fall.
