An earlier article said that the home was inspected for it's heritage (historical?) value. It sounds like Transport Canada inspects these homes to see if they have historical value, and if they do, they offer them up for sale w/ the caveat that the purchasers have to move them off the govt's land. If they feel a house doesn't have value, it's demolished to make way for the airport.

(Locals, please feel free to correct me!)

Maybe it was someone pretending to do an inspection on behalf of T. Canada...

You are correct.

I don't know what anyone else feels but this has got to be one of the worse police work or whatever you want to call it that I've ever seen.

They find a dungeon in November. Mid December they go public (only God knows why considering it was still under investigation). Beginning of January it burns down to the ground.

WTG:innocent:

LONDON, ONT. - Three fires within 35 minutes that struck two massage parlours and a strip club in London early Sunday could be someone sending a message to the Hells Angels, an organized crime expert says.

"Whether it is a rival biker group or business rivals is hard to evaluate," James Dubro, author of several books on organized crime, said Sunday".

Pickering politicians work to save heritage homes on airport land
Transport Canada targets 42 buildings for demolition due to 'safety risk'
January 4, 2011

snipped...

Ms. Fairfax said Transport Canada is demolishing "vacant, dilapidated structures because they pose a health and safety risk to the public."

She said problems range from structural integrity issues to the presence of asbestos, lead or mould. They pose "serious security concerns," she said, often attracting trespassers, vandals and arsonists.

"In fact, some of our tenants have requested that vacant structures next to their rented residences be taken down," she said. "Transport Canada is acting as a responsible landlord in addressing these security concerns."

Bolded the above. Yes, the questions are just dangling.

Just like those chains dangling from the ceiling, and who/what would be dangling from those chains?

Why 3 chains like that? 2 for hands... :waitasec: I give up..I hope LE releases some new info soon

It's sad to think that the government would be doing this but I kinda believe it. Regarding the comment about the suspect being a local...that would be the next thing to look at if you rule the government torching the place. The Golfcourse employees would be the most suspicious in my opinion.

It's scary considering I live about 20 minutes away from this. I have seen alot of these abandoned houses in the pickering-ajax area go to crap. It truly is sad.

How and why was this room discovered?

maybe the person that made the dungeon works with the company that evaluates these homes.....

ALSO AROUND the 1:04 mark...

"Other than some FURNITURE AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT..police won't say EXACTLY what they found in that room..."

Pickering Airport foes ready for an old fight
July 13, 2011

snipped...

The federal government acquired the Pickering lands, about 60 kilometres northeast of downtown Toronto, four decades ago, but the plan to build a new airport was soon placed on the back burner in favour of expanding existing airports. Today, only about 100 homes remain in the area.

video equipment? to video a captive? to film a hostage? Hmmm... the sex thing seems possible to me again.

Did someone here post that the water was distilled water? That seems strange to me. Why use that and not regular water?

I'm not sure how we can tell from this pic if it's distilled water??? Was it reported by investigators or LE to be distilled???

:waitasec:

It's bottled but could be distilled, spring, tap or otherwise...
