I wanted to ask what your thoughts are on the beware of dog sign on their apartment door? It was shown in a news clip. Is that common in an apartment setting?

Hello everyone...I'm new to the site and I have been following this case since the news broke, seeing as how I live about a 10-minute drive away from Woolner Ave. It's terrible what happened to SP and I'm glad that LE caught these two losers.

Just for clarification about a first-degree murder charge in Canada...1st degree murder charges can only be laid if the crime was premeditated, or if the murder was committed during the commission of a robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping, hijacking or if the victim was a police officer or prison guard.
Thanks - and welcome to the board.

Robbery is certainly a possibility, though I lean towards pre-meditated.

Good question - is it common to see those in apartments?

So what have we dug up on these scumbags?

Not likely their 1st victim. They are way, way, too casual in the videos released.

In the LE youtube video, they give an alias of Mark Marshall.

Has anyone ran pipl etc on these yet?

...I'm not clear on what this douche CM has been doing for the reported last two years since they've been Tennant's in the apartment....government disability??

Most likely yes on OW or ODSP. As of 2009 having an addiction to drugs/alcohol can allow a person to be eligible for ODSP.

Here is some information on ODSP and addiction:

There is a reason why CAMH stands for Centre of Addiction and Mental Health. Not all provinces treat addiction along with mental health but generally the two go hand in hand. Personally after working in addictions and mental health I don't completely agree with ODSP being given in the long term because it is very enabling.

My guess is his cheque and her income probably allowed them to barely get by and get their fix of whatever their drug of choice was. Generally ODSP will get you about $1100 and OW will get you $650 both of those include your rent. Here is a breakdown:

Which really leads me to believe that the 1st degree murder component of their charge is not as a result of the murder occurring during a kidnapping.

Those 2 planned to kill Sina.

In cold blood.

Jmo

Sina did not appear to be kidnapped when he entered the apartment

I doubt they pre-planned to kill him in their apartment because everything would point to them as the main suspects

Not to mention it would force them to leave their home in the middle of the night and go on the run.

(planned) murderers usually try to eliminate themselves as suspects

Something (unplanned) must have happened in that apartment which resulted in murder.

Something triggered the violent side of Clyde , my guess anyway.

I just had a thought about the $400 that I will run by you all. If any of you have seen SP's FB pictures, there is one picture in particular that caught my attention- it's SP sitting behind a large amount of 20 dollar bills all spread out. It got me thinking that perhaps SP was possibly dealing/ or going to start dealing drugs on the side. That would explain the amount he took out at the ATM (the more you buy, the better the discount even with drugs) and he certainly would have had customers (his crew just a thought) he could have easily made little profit on the side while still using occasionally himself. This could also explain why CM was soo animated while they walked into the apartment building-maybe they were discussing their new partnership? Again just an idea that hasn't been brought up. Maybe I'm being silly and over thinking this. Lol!!

SP was apparently a roofing contractor with his own business. A lot of people pay cash for this type of work to avoid taxes. To see him in a pic with a lot of cash on a table is not the same as seeing a "gansta rapper" flaunting his cash and guns in pics online as far as immediately relating it to drug transactions. I took that pic as more of a "look how successful a businessman I am" type of pic.

That said, there was some kind of wheeling and dealing going on between Alliance Blvd and Woolner Ave, on or just off Jane Street that night. Something that took a half hour at least to come to an agreement that something needed to be handled in apt 803 at 220 Woolner and not out on the street.

When someone is posting photos of $$$$ all laid out my first and only thought is "dealer ".

I have never known any business owner to do that.

Funny though....... One of the quotes on that picture by his friend is "Sina Montana" that's a direct reference to the movie SCARFACE. We all know what that movie was about!

Ya really, you might think if it was a work related picture of how much cash he just made, the friend would have called him "Bob The Builder" or something like that haha. Yes too as Kmouse said is that usually a 'dealer' would post a pic like this, not a business owner. Dealers get a rush out of that type of lifestyle, then when they are not getting that rush then they like to post pics of their cash online to give them that little self-esteem boost. I use to have my own business and did quite a few cash deals myself in the past with the most maybe being $1,800 but never once thought of posting a pic of my $$.

Maybe he was buying cocaine... I believe $400 is around the price of an 8 ball (3.5 grams) on the street. Although friends and family say no drugs addicts are skilled at hiding things as well as manipulation. My bestie was using crack for over a year and I had no clue. Not saying this to be hurtful just sharing.

On average if a gram is anywhere from $80 to $100 then at most an 8ball would cost $280 to $350 but usually 8ball gives you a discount cuz you're buying more so...$400 is a rip-off but maybe if SP was going to buy 6 grams (really cut up of course haha) for $400 then if he was selling all 6 grams as singles for $100 a pop...a $200 profit could be made and possibly secure a future source if product is good. All hypothetical of course.

Wondering now, if maybe SP was fb friends with SC and CM, or they spotted that posting of SP with all the cash and pursued him?
Maybe something tied in with soccer bets?

I have posted a link not really related to this case but might shed some light on to maybe the activity going on in Vaughn area...about a week ago a user on here posted something about what areas are more known for certain criminal activity and they had mentioned Vaughn was an area known for gambling but as you can read in this article, DS of Vaughan was...one of Canada’s notorious “cocaine cowboys” with a long history as a drug importation specialist.

I think an ounce (or a pound, not sure) of pot is around $400. Depends on the area though.

An ounce of pot could be anywhere from $200 to $250 and a pound 2k-3k depending on various factors of course.

For those discussing the prices of various amounts of drugs, whats the theory?

SP went to Jane and Alliance to hopefully run into someone who would sell him $400 worth of drugs?
He happened to meet up with SC and CM and they said ya sure we have $400 worth of drugs come walk 7minutes with us to our apartment and we will get it for you...

So the three head to the apartment and?????

Whats the theory?
