WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Authorities are looking for a 21-year-old woman who they say crashed at ATV near the Walnut River in Augusta early Saturday morning.

According to law enforcement, Carley Bullard went missing at around 3 a.m. when her ATV went off a river bank. Law enforcement searched for her in the area along Highway 77 for about 13 hours on Saturday and will resume the search Sunday at 8 a.m., according to Bullard’s sister, Megan Keazer.

Bullard was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with cursive writing on the front and Adidas tennis shoes.

Why was she out riding an ATV at 3 am? Was she alone or with others? Was she on the ATV when it went off the bank or had she jumped or been thrown off before? Did the ATV go into the river? Did Carley go into the water?

So many questions and so little info. I hope she didn’t go into the water and that she is wandering around with a head injury (which sounds awful but is better than being in the water IMO).

The Butler County Sheriff's Office, The Augusta Department of Public Safety, and Butler EMS are searching for a missing woman south of Augusta.

According to the Butler County Sheriff Monty Hughey, the woman was involved in an UTV crash around 3:22 a.m. Saturday.

Crews are currently searching an area near SW Highway 77 and the Walnut River, which is near where the crash happened. According to witnesses, the UTV had two occupants inside when it went into the river. One of the occupants, Carley Bullard, is unaccounted for, and a search continues for the missing woman.

There has been no word on injuries at this time.

I understand this case is still being investigated.

May not have been as accidental as first thought.

Autopsy pending.

Roll a 4 wheeler down a riverbank, get injured, fall into river, drown. I won't be surprised to find intoxication having played a role. Sad but not at all out of the ordinary for rural communities. If there are any elements of the story that are still secret they won't stay that way for long with three witnesses.

You could be right and there could be nothing to see, but there are a few things that are a little off center enough to investigate.

Unfortunately doesn't look like Sheriff's office doing anything about a suspicious death.

Who goes to this remote location at 3:00 am, on rugged terrain, surrounded by a river to ride an ATV with no seats?

Males are both in late 30s and females in early 20s. Property belonged to one of the males relatives so presumably he knew the area well. Unknown as to whom ATV belonged to or how many ATVs there were.

I just ran into this girls dad tonight and he still believes something nefarious happened that night. And you know a few things don’t make sense, why was the girl left there after the wreck? How do you get thrown from a utv so far you can’t be found, who doesn’t have a phone or watch connected to a phone to call for help immediately. It was my understanding they left then called for help hours later. Her poor father and mother and her nieces and nephew were with them, all they want are answers. The two older guys were JJ pitman and a guy with the last name of Bennington. I smell something super sketch here.

Two years later, they’re still not done investigating?
