Cases possibly of interest for the LISK case

I looked at this case also and wondered if it could be Kelly Morrissey the third missing girl from Lynbrook NY who went missing in the 1980s.THE Lattingtown girl was wearing a gold chain with a pig charm, Kelly's missing person report on the Charley project says she was wearing a gold chain and charm at the time of her disappearance.

Someone posted an idea on the Shannon Gilberts thread that I thought was interesting... They are suggesting that if LISK is or was a resident of Oak beach that once Shannon disappeared LISK knew the heat was going to descending on Oak beach and he dumped the GB4 on the beach in a hurry as he had no time to bury them. They theorized that the burlap girls may have been stored in a basement prior to them being dumped on the beach. If that theory is true one killer could be responsible for the GB4 and the dismembered and buried victim's on LI.I know it seems far fetched but it worth thinking about ...its seems harder to believe that their are so many different serial killers operating on LI.

What's interesting is namus doesn't have any estimate for postmortem interval. Who knows how long she was there. But if Muttontown Jane Doe is the same killer (and it does appear very possible) then there is also a probability of another graveyard around the Muttontown preserve and up along the roads that turn into Oyster Bay Rd. Lots and lots of places to dump a body along that route! And similar to Manorville graveyard if you ask me. So are these early victims of the LISK, or the work of another monster who buries there victims? Because we have no clue when they were killed, it's possible they could be from the 80's and 90's before LISK started dismembering and spreading remains.

Another important question is, if Lattingtown Jane Doe wasn't dismembered, why doesn't namus say "All parts recovered" (or anything for that matter) and why doesn't it have a height estimate? Just stinky fishy rotten scpd police work once again doing everything they can to prevent an id

(None of the body parts/bodies on Ocean Parkway were buried)

Update: I did hear back from Doe Network the race discrepancy for this this unidentified woman found behind a truck stop in Plainville, Mass that was wrapped in a blanket or burlap. While they are going to look into it and update accordingly they recommend in the meantime looking for any UID's that match the other stats that are African American, Biracial, or Asian. With the postmortem interval being 3-10 years here and a range of possible races, this case would be a tough one to match.

His brother was arrested in 2013, at which time they had a familial DNA match when they entered it. They went through bittrolff's trash on the curb and several other samples confirming it was him. I don't know what DNA evidence they have from the crime scenes. Maybe fingernail scrapings? While the semen may be circumstantial, when you pair it with the fact both victims were identically posed, both missing the same clothing items, wood chips at both scenes I think it paints a pretty clear picture to a jury. And that's just the evidence they've shared with the public.

Might paint a clear picture, but might not be enough for a conviction. It has happened this way many times before.

I had found 2 female asian exchange students who ran away from their group in the US not long before Lattingtown Doe was thought to have been murdered (I think they went missing in NYC). One had been born in the Year of the Pig. If you find the info on these two young women let me know please. I can't track it down now

The DA said more evidence will come out at trial. Including something Bittrolff said during questioning. His attorney tried to get it thrown out. DENIED.

I read about it. Not sure if it has been posted. Interesting theory though about the parallels given location to the causeway.

I do find it highly unlikely, jmo, that the killer was active in the early 1980's. That is just me though.

She doesn't really fit the profile of LISKs more at risk victims. Why begin killing high profile individuals only to move on to at risk individuals? usually killers stick with the same sort of victim whether it is to elude suspicion or due to preference.

I find her case very interesting. What if she was the trigger that started all of the killings? She somehow upset him and he saw her as a "prostitute" and killed her, starting him on the path to killing other women who are escorts. Just an idea.

There's something about Tina I feel is connected. Maybe he was smart enough to realize that he would get caught if he kept killing high risk women.
