You are correct!

I just got off the phone with the authorities and they are aware of this.
They say they can't control what the family or Keepers hand out.
They also know that Cindy is trying to divert tips to her personal cell phone.
They don't like it but can't stop it.
They are trying as hard as possible to keep putting out the correct tip line number they want people to call.
They are frustrated about this.

When I said I see shades of Jackie Peterson, I got a "yeah".

The Anthonys are not doing much except hanging around the house.

Geez. If that was my baby or a family members or a friends or even a strangers WE'D BE OUT BEATING DOWN DOORS, LOOKING UNDER BUSHES...WHAT EVER IT TOOK!! what is with those people???

OMG! Note the date was 6/24/08 as the day the burglary was reported.

This is HUGE. Why hasn't this been mentioned before?! If the shed had been broken into...it would mean that Casey possibly did have access at that time. It also means that they had to be home to report it...doesn't it?

It fits with the timeline of when Caylee really went missing, too. Oh, I hate to even think about the possibilities this brings up.

Could Casey have borrowed the shovel to break the lock?

What day was her car towed? June 26th?

IIRC, the car was abandoned on the 27th and towed on the 30th.

The car was towed on June 30th, but had sat in the parking lot of Amscot since June 27th (or at least it is what was reported). Caylee was last "heard" on the phone call on June 24th. We don't know the exact time, but it was during the day.

About the incorrect phone number (and date) being on the site and the authorities knowing but the Anthony's not changing it, why doesn't someone call in to Nancy Grace?

If NG gets a phone call (or multiple) about the incorrect number and that now (from what someone said) in at least one place the correct number is now gone, as well, I'll bet she'll raise a fuss...especially if someone raises it as, "Nancy, what do you think it means that the family is aware that the tip line number is incorrect, as is the date, and they have been made aware by multiple people, and it's still not been changed?"

You know Nancy and panel will jump on it and talk about it, and Cindy seems to monitor what's being said by media...if NG jumps on it, and someone also emails Greta's address, if it gets raised multiple places perhaps it'll apply enough pressure on the family to at least get the details changed when it's clear the public sees that they KNOW it's the wrong number and are obviously trying to channel tips only to themselves and not authorities.

THAT obviously makes the family look bad...and it might motivate some change on the site.

I might have missed discussion about this earlier....I'm playing 'catch-up'

On 06/24/2008, at approximately 1037 hours, I responded to 4937 Hopespring Dr in reference to a burglary to a
structure (storage shed). Upon arrival, I met with the victim, George Anthony, who relayed the following:
On 06/22/2006, between approximately 1800 and 1000 hours 06/24/2008, unknown suspect(s) entered his
shed. This resulted in damage to the lock and the door The suspect(s) then removed the following items: 2 gas
cans with about $50.00 worth of gas in them.
The victim stated that the shed was secured and no one had permission to enter or remove property. The victim
estimated the total value of items taken to be $ 50.00 and the damage to be $ 50.00.
The victim gave a sworn written statement and wishes to testify and prosecute. The items stolen were not
entered into teletype as stolen due to the fact that the victim could not provide serial numbers for the items.
I examined the crime scene and found the following: The shed door and the lock to the door were damaged
and where the victim said his gas cans were is now empty. I attempted to dust for the presence of latent
fingerprints and did not any latents. I provided the victim with a victim's rights pamphlet and a case card. At this
time, there have been no witnesses or suspects located.

Here's the date!?!?!? Could this be what Casey borrowed the shovel for, to break into the shed?

I'm thinking...and hoping..that GM is acting this way so she can get Casey's trust and is hoping she spills the beans to her. That is the only thing I can come up with for the way that woman is acting.

Perhaps...but wouldn't keeping quiet and saying nothing (gets my vote!) do the same? I'm not sure how much access Casey has to media reports, but if we think her mom sounds nuts, I'm sure Casey probably does too. In fact, "hardened" Casey probably doesn't give a flying *advertiser censored**.

OMG! I was just going to post something very similar- you never really know what you're dealing with. What you think you know as true is generally not the case. So, if you guys out here in WSland think you're losing your minds- "Welcome to the world of addiction, mental illness, etc." I always say that people like Casey (who I most certaily believe to be sociopathic) are like tornadoes...wherever they touch down they create chaos...and anyone in the general vicinity gets sucked in.

This is so true. I dated a pathological liar back in college for about a year, and lived with him actually for about 6 months. I didn't have a clue about his lies for the first several months, because he would lie about the most mundane, everyday things, that I would never normally question. He had all these elaborate scenarios, stories, people he had met, none of which ever existed. Once I finally caught him in the middle of a lie (found out from his parents, no less!), we had a big discussion about it, and for a while I thought that was the only one. Noooo way. The relationship just deteriorated over time because eventually I couldn't believe ANYTHING he said. But for the longest time, like the Anthonys, I kept wanting to believe in him and things just got beyond screwed up.

The way he reminds me so much of Casey is because he would lie about things sometimes and make them sound WORSE than they actually were! I asked him one time why he didn't have a drivers' license. (We were in college, lots of people didn't have cars.) He told me it was because he had gotten a DUI while he was underage and his license was taken away - when in reality, he had never had a license to begin with. WHY in the world would someone make that up???

Ok, got a little OT, sorry - but just had to throw that in there. I don't even put any stock in Casey's timeline of "31 days" for when Caylee went missing - as far as I'm concerned, when she got cornered about Caylee she pulled 31 out of the air, and once she'd said it, she couldn't go back and change her mind.

It now is looking, more than ever, that something awful happened between June 24th and 26th. Hopefully LE is examining these dates EXTREMELY closely.

I think the key to this "Zanny" person is if Caylee talked about her. Trust me, 3 year olds tell it like it is. If Casey had made up Zanny so she wouldn't have to say the real name of who she was hanging with , Caylee would have given it away. Even if you instruct a 3 year old to lie, they can't.

I would love for someone to call in to Nancy Grace if Cindy is on there and ask Cindy if Caylee ever mentioned "Zanny".

I agree. It took me ages to finally be able to register here, but that was one of the things I raised, as well...Caylee mentioning her ("Zanny")

Someone should raise that with Nancy, and also the possibility that both the name/details that Casey rattled off about Zanny AND the very specific "31 days" perhaps having been rehearsed. Her saying it so frankly has made some thing that may actually be credible, personally it struck me more as rehearsed and likely just part of her story (like the dead dad with the obit) may be...with Casey perhaps thinking mom would "buy" that story, as well, and let her keep up her "search" how she wanted.

Quite possible. I am just very disturbed by this. Of course, they included it now because it means that the gasoline could have been used to "cover evidence".

I've been wondering the same thing. Caylee should have been talking about Zenaida.

And Casey's friends should have been saying, "Who?" when she told them Caylee was with "Zanny".

A real thief would have wanted things of value. If this was Casey, she probably knew there was gas in that shed.

well, if anyone has ever lived with an addict (I'm including path liar here in this case)...the person creates such a state of confusion all of the time so that the "normal" people around them can't/won't see what is going on. You get so you don't know up from down and you begin to think you're the crazy one while they're out doing their thing. Plus, this family is chock full of enablers. If you've ever watched the show "Addiction" you know what I mean. Casey should have been stopped a long time ago.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but Patricks friends and Marcus' and Mike's including the one, www.myspace.com/ninacica62401 all have been to some type of "recovery" as they referred to it. That is what Patrick just went through that he has a new found life and its a new him. And his friend is new beginnings, i found about 4 of their friends with these titles, and comments between them about this....

Well, well, well!! Oh, I definitely believe this is EXACTLY why Casey broke into the shed. Didn't we say the timeline was narrowed from the 24th-27th? But, I still think the 15th is significant as well. This was no doubt the time Casey took off.
