I didn't know I had one. On well, doesn't matter. I have one phone. No need to "move" a sim card around.

If she was moving her SIM card around, she is the first person I have heard of who does this. I'm sure most of us have cell phones, and know many people that have cell phones. This is not common practice and makes absolutley no sense. I have two cell phones, so does my husband and neither one of us have ever entertained that idea. It would only be necessary, if you were making up an excuse or if you were trying to hide something. That's my two cents!

Good point Lanie. I wondered that too.. And if LE knows something I am so anxious to hear it!

Someone had also said that the park had been searched prior to the panties, gas can, etc., being located --- one would think if this was the case --- panties stuck to a fence would have been noticed?

i have never taken my sim card out

is this a common practice ??

sounds made up to me :crazy:

It happens all the time. I have two phones myself that I have switched my sim card with because one phone broke.

LOL Ewwwwwwwww!

Again, again, again, again, a car seat was found in the 98 Pontiac Casey was driving. It has its own thread. There are MANY specific threads in this forum with exceptional info & links to back them up

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2527463#post2527463
I looked for the thread about the car seat, but couldn't find it. What page is it on? Never mind. I see it thanks.

See it helps so much if people post the link then quote from the article:

"Meanwhile, Orange County sheriff's detectives have found a car seat and are sifting for more clues in an abandoned car that belongs to the missing toddler's grandmother. The woman at the center of the case, the child's mother, remains in jail, and an official said Saturday that she has had no visits from family members since her arrest Wednesday."

Does anyone know what her other phone was? Depending on the phone, her story of switching the SIM cards could be another lie. Certain phones will not accept a SIM from another phone...even phones that are provided by the same carrier.

OK, question here too. I listened to the bond hearing again last night and it was stated that a black light was taken to the trunk and the stain glowed underneath the black light. If I am mistaken, the black light hits on bodily fluids so if it was just garbage that leaked or whatever excuse they gave, wouldn't that totally be BS? I wanted to post this here to see what thoughts are. I'm going to research this myself as well.

people like babysitters can exist if nobody has ever met them
but actual people have APARTMENTS OR HOMES and PHONE NUMBERS that EXIST:crazy:

You would think. However, when my ex vanished after I filed for divorce over a year and a half ago. The PI my attorney evenutally hired because service had to be done or a curator appointed, eventually told my attorney that the took- forever-to-be-ex had litterally dropped off the face of the earth. His family wouldn't talk and the PI couldn't find a trace anywhere over a copule of states. He went completely underground. It can be done. I think the lawyer and the PI ere suspicous of me for a minute or two...and I couldn't even prove he was calling me now and then...switched sim cards and phones......

But he didn't drop of the face of the earth before he went missing. ZG doesn't exist before June 16th either.

There are only a couple networks that use SIM cards. Verizon and Sprint don't use them (but I think Verizon does sell a couple of models that can use them). It's really a stupid way for a cell company to do business because the black/gray market with these phones is crazy... watch ebay. If your phone is stolen, it can still be used... only the SIM card is deactivated.

Why anyone would need two different phones? I have no idea. I know people with multiple batteries but phones? Sounds like a fashion accessory thing to me... Wouldn't surprise me. A lot of the kids Casey's age use their kids as accessories too... sound familiar perhaps?

Sometimes things get missed! I have learned this first hand myself. I also think that anyone searching would be most likely looking down, especially considering what they are looking for.:)

Look...right now there is nothing new to report or even discuss in this case. We are all on hold until it has been decided what is going to happen with Casey getting out or unless new news comes up to discuss. When these things do happen...I can assure you that we will keep this thread right on topic or try to!

If I'm not mistaken, Arm & Hammer liquid laundry soap is respondent to black light also.

Ok found it:
Question: What Materials Glow Under a Black or Ultraviolet Light?
Answer: There are a lot of everyday materials that fluoresce, or glow, when placed under a black light. A black light gives off highly energetic ultraviolet light. You can't see this part of the spectrum, which is how 'black lights' got their name. Fluorescent substances absorb the ultraviolet light and then re-emit it almost instantaneously. Some energy gets lost in the process, so the emitted light has a longer wavelength than the absorbed radiation, which makes this light visible and causes the material to appear to 'glow'.

Fluorescent molecules tend to have rigid structures and delocalized electrons. Examples of common materials that contain fluorescent molecules include:

* White Paper
White paper is treated with fluorescent compounds to help it appear brighter and therefore whiter. Sometimes forgery of historical documents can be detected by placing them under a black light to see whether or not they fluoresce. White paper made post-1950 contains fluorescent chemicals while older paper doesn't.

* Club Soda or Tonic Water
The bitter flavoring of tonic water is due to the presence of quinine, which glows blue-white when placed under a black light.

* Body Fluids
Many body fluids contain fluorescent molecules. Forensic scientists use ultraviolet lights at crime scenes to find blood, urine, or semen (all fluorescent).

* Vitamins
Vitamin A and the B vitamins thiamine, niacin, and riboflavin are strongly fluorescent. Try crushing a vitamin B-12 tablet and dissolving it in vinegar. The solution will glow bright yellow under under a black light.

* Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll makes plants green, but it fluoresces a blood red color. Grind some spinach or swiss chard in a small amount of alcohol (e.g., vodka or everclear) and pour it through a coffee filter to get chlorophyll extract (you keep the part that stays on the filter, not the liquid). You can see the red glow using a black light or even a strong fluorescent bulb, such as an overhead projector lamp, which (you guessed it) gives off ultraviolet light.

* Antifreeze
Manufacturers purposely include fluorescent additives in antifreeze fluid so that black lights can be used to find antifreeze splashes to help invesitagors reconstruct automobile accident scenes.

* Laundry Detergents
Some of the whiteners in detergent work by making your clothing a bit fluorescent. Even though clothing is rinsed after washing, residues on white clothing cause it to glow bluish-white under a black light. Blueing agents and softening agents often contain fluorescent dyes, too. The presence of these molecules sometimes causes white clothing to appear blue in photographs.

* Tooth Whiteners
Whiteners and some enamels contain compounds that glow blue to keep teeth from appearing yellow.

* Postage Stamps
Stamps are printed with inks that contain fluorescent dyes.

* Jellyfish
If you have a jellyfish handy, see what it looks like under a black light in a darkened room. Some of the proteins within a jellyfish are intensely fluorescent.

* Some Minerals and Gems
Fluorescent rocks include fluorite, calcite, gypsum, ruby, talc, opal, agate, quartz, and amber. Minerals and gemstones are most commonly made fluorescent or phosphorescent due to the presence of impurities. The Hope Diamond, which is blue, phosphoresces red for several seconds after exposure to shortwave ultraviolet light.
