Anyone else have any thoughts about Baez's claim that this case is similar to Madeline McCann? Maybe telling about what could have happened to Caylee, i.e. left alone somewhere while mom was off "partying like a rock star"?

She might have been afraid she couldn't pull that off without help. Since she left the keys in it, I think she expected it to be stolen, so the smell would never be an issue.

Do we have verified/confirmed info. that the keys were left in it? I've seen a lot of speculation b/twn threads 40 and now, but never anything to confirm. Anyone got a link to confirm that the keys were actually in the vehicle when it was towed???

I know I blogged about it on July 26th before I found this site. So it's written out there someplace. It appears Eyewittnes New may have spoken to someone. I don't have a link in my blog to reference where I got that info for my post. :(

"When Casey called Lazarro for a ride from the Amscot where she abandoned her car, she claimed it had broken down and that her father was going to get it to a shop later."

I think that's a bit more obvious. If she could even manage doing it without help, someone might see her. Plus, when her car was "lost" how would she explain that one to her friends? I don't know.

Does water get rid of decomp smell?

I don't know - it's pretty common knowledge that a lot of money/check cashing places have video in the parking lot (Thx to CSI, Numbers, etc.) but you wouldn't expect a video at a deserted (if there was one she could get to) body of water large enough to sink a car...???

thanks gigi 2009, geeze...what a spoiled female she is. Tony probably couldn't give a rats butt. She's full of herself and herself only. Spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. Wow. Oh my gosh, the way she talks to everyone. Mind boggling.

Has anyone discussed the possibility of Caylee getting lost or "taken" at Universal, or, worse, of her being put there after her (hope it isn't so) death? JMO...

I was interested in this just the other day after Nancy Grace cut off one of her callers thinking along these same lines. Nancy went on to talk about the work/ co-worker angle but did not address whether or not the park had actually been searched for evidence or anything like that.

She sure does mention Universal a lot.

It wouldn't surprise me if her trip to the parents house on the 24th June was to return the gas cans, and she got caught.

She isnt very smart to even try and put them back. She should of put them in the dumster at the pizza pleace. :behindbar

I don't understand the focus on the 24th as far as Caylee's death/disappearance is concerned. It may be a significant date in the cover up, but it looks to me like the 16 of June is the key date.

Casey and Caylee left home with backpacks and as they left Casey told George she might be late getting home from "work" (as per interview with Greta). There was an expectation by both George and Casey that she would be home later as usual. No change in living arrangements, no big family quarrel, no moving out, no getting away to bond with Caylee.

Something happened that day and Casey could not come home because she had no Caylee to bring home and did not have a story cooked up to explain why her child was not with her. Maybe it was an accident, or maybe it was a sudden act of violence on Casey's part, but I am guessing, not a planned act. Everything after that was part of the cover up.

I think it when she was coming back from leaving Caylee somewhere she couldn't stand the smell or the car. It would be difficult for her to put that car in a pond. She is lazy, she wanted someone to steal it. She was probably low on gas and didn't want herself to get stuck somewhere she couldn't explain.

Casey: (very angry) Cause I don't effing (full word used) know where she's at. Are you kidding me? This last part was said with contempt.

that statement in red is so over the top

she is trying to make her mother sound ridiculous with this line

and yet, there is no other way for her mom to reconcile what is going on

when i heard that i puked :behindbar

Does anyone believe she's saying/sounding like this because she's already tried to feed her family the "Caylee was taken by the Nanny" story and she's now mad at her mother because in Casey's very first call home after being arrested her mother says "I don't know what your involvement is," instead of "I can't imagine how tough this is on you after Cayley being taken, etc, etc" Almost makes me think Casey immediately knows her mother doesn't believe her nanny story from the get-go, so Casey knows that she hasn't successfully pulled the wool over her mother's eyes and is being ugly about it...???

LOL, thanks for posting Suz..

From reporter to Sgt. Allen " Do you have psychic detectives coming down today?"
response from Sgt. Allen "audible laugh, not that I am aware of.."

Just to verify...the "psychic detective" is one mentioned in connection with a certain other person with a supernatural website (BP) that is not well-respected by this group, correct? I saw the search reported on the local 6 site and had previously read about this search on the BP site. I thought it was odd that they said they "weren't looking at street names " to local 6 when the BP website has strongly focused on the specific locations they thought were significant to search. I originally checked the BP site out as a curiosity b/c I am open to the existence of legitimate psychic abilities, but ruled out believing in this particular group after reading the facts stated on this site. Also, out of curiosity, what are the opinions of WS members of the existence of any legitimate psychics who have been successful in missing persons cases? I have always heard of it in general, but cannot site any specific case. This is a subject that intrigues me, and I believe any legitimate help is worth exploring, but also realize that this is a prime opportunity for unscrupulous people to take advantage of families desperate for any type of information. I’ve foolishly fallen into that category before myself. :blushing:

yep:)

just a thought, since people have been centering around june 15/16 think its possible that George said about seeing her on the 24th one to "show" he didn't see anything in the trunk except the cans and didn't smell anything 2) to throw the timeline off of the 15/16.

The problem I have with that is,why would he have filed a police report on the break-in and the stolen gas cans if he thought that his daughter did it.

To let his daughter know that they were tired of her "crap". Parents who have young adults out of control often report them to try to straighten them out

BTW, Fox is now showing in the Caylee box the banner "psychic search" under her picture.

No but people. Scott Peterson was spotted at the marina. Wasn't Susan Smith spotted at the lake, as well?

Plus, she left it cause it was supposedly broken down. No crime commited, even if there was tape. So she wasn't caught in the act there. They could have caught the person she wanted to steal it but what difference would that make to her?

Not to mention 1/2 the time those video cameras aren't even working.

I think originally she planned to use a carjacking/kidnapping story and abandoned it for an unknown reason. She is most certainly smart enough to remove the car seat for any other scenario. Maybe because JG was fired on 6/25 (per last update) that fell through.

Can anyone say where JG was a patrolman? Was it in the area of the Amscot?

How abut the possibility that she planned to go back herself and retriev it after she figured out what to do with it/about it - much like the other theories that have her interring/placing Caylee's body somewhere at first and then deciding to move her to wherever she is now???
