OK. When was the car picked-up and driven back to the house? It was George driving it, right?

Yes. But what time? Those 911 calls are from around 8 o'clock at night. Has it been stated what time George picked up the car?

Important clarification: I think Clint said he saw Casey at the apartment late on Father's Day. I don't think he actually said she spent the night, but I may be wrong. And we also have no confirmation of anybody seeing Caylee anywhere on the 16th, except statements from family members.

No he says that she stayed over...just didn't see her leave in the morning as he usually did. Which may imply that she left earlier of later than usual. He must have known she was there by her car being there. JMO But he did say that she slept there.

Follow me...I'm trying to get George's demeanor as he walks into this 911 call. I've re-listened to the tape and as soon as Cindy tells George Caylee is missing he says call the police and she tells him she's already on the phone with police. So is George walking into this scene, having just driven the car home from the wrecker with the smell in it?

Becuase to be honest he just met Casey at the end of May. Therefore he only knew Casey for a very short time...and obviously didn't know the real Casey. If you had only dated someone for 6 weeks and then they were arrested for the missing child..which btw you haven't seen in ages either, then wouldn't you ditch the B*tch?

1) TonE met Casey thru FaceBook
2) TonE invited Casey to the 24 May party where she became part of that "friend group"
3) Clint stated OTR last night he met Caylee after 24 May when Casey brought her to the house to meet TonE
4) Clint stated Casey went out with the "group" 30 May & spent the night with TonE & was at the house 31 May morning
5) Clint also stated that Casey & Caylee came around until mid-June and then there was no more Caylee but LOTS of Casey

I think Casey's "friends" not seeing Caylee after mid-June is VITAL!!! And since Casey wasn't showing signs of concern for Caylee's safety, no one knew Caylee had been "kidnapped" by the nanny

Thanks for the welcomes! You know what I think is a possibility too? I think that George and Cindy dont belive Casey at all. I think they are just going along with the kidnapping thing hoping Casey may crack. You know, to make her think that they are on her side. By doing this she may confide in them. I know they cant be that oblivious to the facts and that nieve whethers its their daughter or not. It was funny how Cindy was so frantic in her 911 call about the smell in the car then a day or so later, she changed up really quickly. Seems like not a one of them can keep their stories straight and when you really watch them talk--they are not consistant with what they are saying. You can tell they dont even believe themselves. That is obvious. I am a nursing student in psych right now. We learn to watch verbals and nonverbals. And theirs just dont match up in my book. Possible they are helping LE. We really dont know each detail of things that are being kept out of the media.

And Cindy is the one in 911 call #3 telling police "There’s something wrong. I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."

That is where I've been siding too. Thinking it's just a ploy to get Casey to open to them. Good cop bad cop theory. And the cops keep stating the GP's are cooperating. But every so often George and Cindy are just so out there with their comments I don't know what to think.

IDK..I hear you. But I think to establish that we would need to know what time they picked up the car. Don't forget Lee says that George called him and asked him to come over and said "i'm worried about your mother". He also mentioned the abandoned car to Lee. Lee came over and was there when Cindy came back from dragging Casey by the ear from Tony's. This tells me that the car was picked up and brought home way before George walks into the room and Cindy relays the information.

He definitely already drove the car home by the time Cindy called 911. Hours before maybe based on the phone call to Lee.

Yea, I mean, watching Greta and her walking around the house, it looked as if Cindys blood pressure was sky high. She keep tapping her water bottle, acting really fidgety, shooting George looks as if "remember what you are SUPPOSED to say", etc. Just too strange to be honestly believing their own story.

Cindy and George independently volunteer information of smell of dead body in the car. If she is telling George the story for the very first time -- in the middle of the phone call where she makes the smells like dead body in the damn car comment -- this is a seminal moment. I'm wondering if G & C spoke on the phone earlier. Need to nail down time car was driven home. There is no proof, but prevailing theory is that George drove it, and perhaps pulling it up to the house with thoughts of dead body smell in car and then walks into Cindy on the phone with LE alerting them to her own discovery of smell of dead body.

Sources close to the investigation said George Anthony admitted to the FBI that, when he first smelled his daughter's car, he thought it was the odor of a body.

"It was an overpowering smell, I admit that," he said. "It's a possibility that maybe my daughter ran over something."

He said that he now believes the smell came from the combination of a rotting pizza and a cleaning fluid bottle being left in a hot car for 15 days. George Anthony said his daughter told him about a jailhouse letter she wrote.

Sure. It's possible to reconcile both statements -- but not without creating other problems. According to Clint, Casey stayed at Tony's on the night of the 15th. At around noon of the next day, George claims to have seen Casey and Caylee about to leave the family home. These two accounts are not necessarily inconsistent.

But then where was Caylee on the night of the 15th? She wasn't at Tony's, according to Clint. Cindy said she heard Casey and Caylee through the bedroom door on the night of the 15th. If Caylee was home with only the grandparents on the night of the 15th while Casey was spending the night at Tony's, (which is what you'd have to believe in order to harmonize Clint and George's statements above) Cindy would've absolutely known that she was caring for Caylee on that night, and would not have had to guess, or surmise, that the noises she heard through the door were presumably noises being made by Casey and Caylee. Logic dictates that Cindy would've asserted in no uncertain terms that she was watching Caylee on the night of the 15th. Cindy might have lied in order to suggest that Casey and Caylee were together, and safe, on the night of the 15th.

As I write this, I am leaning more and more to the idea that whatever happened to Caylee, happened on the night of the 15th on through the morning of the 16th. And the grandparents are intentionally covering things up a bit

There is one extremely narrow timeline in which all three statements could be accurate.

Sun Jun 15th Cindy returns from the nursing home with Caylee; they either do or do not swim in the pool, Casey declining; Cindy looks in on Caylee with Casey and goes to bed.

Casey leaves the house and goes to Tony's to spend the night. She returns early on the morning of Monday June 16th, with or without Cindy's knowledge, and returns to her room. Cindy hears them talking but does not enter.

George sees Casey and Caylee at 1pm ish as they leave the house.

By 3 pm, Casey is making phone calls. By that evening, Caylee is gone.

IIRC, the car was picked up around 3 that afternoon. Both Cindy and George had been in it before the 911 call. Cindy found the resume of Amy's and located Casey by calling Amy's number found on the resume. Cindy knew of the smell before she made the first 911 call.

Cindy said on GVS that the car was picked up between 3-4 pm. Then she called Amy, then she picked up Amy, then she picked up Casey, then she drove her to the police station, then she drove her home, then Lee was there, then George came home.
