Caylee Is Not Findable - FACT?

Lanie a beautiful post written with great insight. Thank you for this. I imagine every time Tim goes out on a search he feels in a sense he is searching for his daughter all over again, there must be a tremendous push for him to keep going. I find what he is doing highly comendable and feel bad he has to deal with the A who have shown him little support or even respect.

Ditto, and while I think TM should stay off of NG and away from the entire Anthony debacle as it is not helping his organization, that does so much good.... I think his comment about her being unfindable was inappropriate for the audience, I do think it is understandable.

Tim has been on over 800 of these searches. He has gone through it as the victims family. He is a vet in these areas. If you hear police officers talk amongst themselves about a case they can come across as jaded etc. If you hear medical professionals talk amongst themselves they can come across as cold at time. They have to adjust their jadeness/desensitization/brutal honesty for public audiences.

Tim did not do that in this situation and he should have. But as a vet/professsional whatever word you want to use there he has seen 800+ cases, he knows what type of cases get solved, he knows what kind of family commitment it takes to keep the searches going, he knows what kind of perps get caught. From his experiences this case will end with her not being found. Maybe they have good reason to believe she is in the landfill where she won't be found. But the combo of factors here, the time lapsed, the family not helping keep the searches going, Casey never talking, she probably won't be found.

Should he have phrased it better, of course. Should he stay away from this case yes. If you don't like the organization and don't want to donate or support it, completely understandable and your right to do so. But I think he has earned the benefit of the doubt to at least not bash his organization and harm it for future searches. There are a lot of people reading here and these statements will be here forever for people searching out TES for the first time.

I don't think LE has any remains, but just for the sake of argument... what if they've found something but don't have to reveal it to the family just yet because the entire family are *persons of interest*. Would that make a difference? If the family of the perp were also suspect? Just wondering...

I know this has already been answered, but next of kin is not waived in any of those circumstances. In our case the murder suspect was the spouse-involved-in-a-bitter-divorce-case, since the divorce was not final he was still next of kin and had all the rights of any other spouse. We needed his signature to even get her released from the morgue. As with most of this case, Casey's rights will be honored, protected and sheltered regardless of what she has done or whose rights she trampled.

The search for "shovel" could be done for many reasons. Perhaps she was interested in replacing one. Perhaps she wanted to know which shovel would be appropriate for certain soil types. Perhaps she wanted to figure out what evidence could be left on a shovel or inside the shovel hardware. As we know, shovels aren't conducive to fingerprinting and could be something she was studying after going to the household weapons and other sites.

There is a hip hop group by that name, as well as a couple of other music type references.

Does anyone remember the media coverage on CNN, when TM said this? He was entering search headquarters after suspending the search, when he said this.

Oh, I remember.
I was in Orlando searching and saw it on TV in my hotel room.

This.

It does not matter how annoying the A's are, or if they may be considered co-conspirators. They are still not charged with a crime and are the childs next of kin. If LE had identified any remains of caylee they would inform the A's in short order. If the A's continued their nonsense of searching for a live Caylee, they would make their findings public.

They also have an obligation to the defense. Any remains would have to be made available to the defense for forensic examination, sooner rather than later in order to allow for a proper laying to rest of the little girl.

LE would never attempt to hide something like this. there is no reason for them to do it.

Valrico: LE does not have Caylee. This isn't a game and had they found ANY body or portion of a body they would call in a family member for identification or check her dental records or do DNA testing. This would be done immediately, and the family would be notified.

I totally agree with both of you. LE would never withhold info. about the discovery of Caylee's remains.

If TM and his gang want to give up on finding her remains, I cannot fault him. But, don't run off at the mouth everytime you are coming into Orlando about how you are "going to stay til she's found'. Surely the revelation that this was going to be a hard thing to accomplish didn't just dawn on him within the last few weeks. I believe since her remains have been most likely skeletal since around August that the liklihood of finding the bones has been nil for some time.

Someone posted an article the other day and this quote of TM's stood out for me:

"but Miller's policy is to keep going. On an earlier case, he had manned a search on and off for twenty months, and in the end they did find that person. "We never give up," he insists."

He speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

I think he's already bitten, but from a different poisoned apple. LOL. Please allow me just this one time to be this vague, and I promise as soon as I can when this trial is over, I will tell you what I meant and what I know.

Right now, I'd give up WS's and even my mother's watch, rather than risk tipping that contemptible moron off with what I've been told by an expert who knows. Trust me, you will love it.

For those of you who hate unsubstantiated innuedoes like this, please allow me just this one "Gimme." I won't ask for another. I promise. :blowkiss:

Why bother even mentioning it?

"He's already bitten"... Who are we talking about? I'm scratching my head. Looked back over the thread briefly and I can't find what the original comment refers to.

She's referring to JB.

I guess letting us in on something after the trial and the verdict - is a bit of a huge waste cuz we'll know everything then anyway.

Nuisance alligators???? LOL! A gnat is a nuisance. Alligators eat people!

Only if you let them!

In Florida, when they migrate into the ponds and get used to people as they do where I work, they eventually get brave enough to crawl up into the parking lots and lounge under your car. Little surprising when it's quitting time and there's a gator under your car. Thus, the name........"nuisance" alligators.

I had a neighbor who was chased to her backdoor by an alligator, dang near nailed her too. Another neighbor was going for a swim in her pool when she spied a good sized alligator at the bottom of her pool.

You have to go back 4 or 5 pages, then it will be clear. As mud, lol.
