The Sheriffs Office said that the charges were fraud charges related to economic crimes and not due to her daughters disappearance.

They were saying on Gretta that it is kinda unusual for them to send Homicide detectives to arrest for this kind of charge. Maybe they were hoping to make the protesters believe it was about homicide, so maybe they would disperse.
