Dan Freeman, the one who I personally do not like. The one who has been visiting Jodi for years. He he is on HLN telling his story all over again. Proclaiming he is a Very Dear Friend of Travis and didn't know that Jodi had really done it. You see he doesn't follow the news he doesn't have a TV.

MOO

Dan is not an honest person and no true friend of Travis. "A close friend of Travis" doesn't have an clue that Jodi may have killed him?

MOO

I think he was snookered and was naive. Also maybe was enchanted w/ Jodi.

What was said about JA screaming like a cat? I was at work and missed that.

SQUEALING like a cat! That's how Juan described Jodi's vocals on the sex tape--and he made reference to her "needing two hands!":floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Sorry if this has been asked and answered.....

If the jury gets the case on Friday, can they opt to work the weekend? Or are they required to stick to court hours?

TIA

I really want to find out what lie Nurmi is going to toss out there regarding the gas can and Walmart--did you see the smirks and his objection to Juan saying that Jodi bought a gas can and testified she took it back to the same Walmart?

What was that about? I re-watched the original testimony & she DOES testify she took it back to the SAME Walmart. I hate the DT & Arias so much due to the smirking lies they constantly spew.

I wonder that too. She DID say the same store so perhaps KN will clarify that JA was foggy and she took it to another WalMart down the road. Tomorrow is going to be hard to sit through. Let's hope he doesn't do something really dumb and causes ... issues. The DT really has nothing going for it at all. JA should be all happy with Nurmi going on and on about how she was taken advantage of yada yada yada vomit.

Jodi all alone after court...
I wonder when she will finally "get it"!

In the event that the jury finds 1st degree murder vs. JA, there is the possibility for life imprisonment or the death penalty. Once the jury renders a verdict, the mitigation specialist, will then try to help the defense team coordinate as many family/friends etc... To put in front of the jury to save Jodi from the maximum penalty...or to try and get a less stiff year-wise sentence.

I sure hope she personally is not going to be speaking to the jury. I cannot take that chick seriously with the way she behaves and the way she dresses more like she is changed into her happy hour outfit. To be working on a murder trial, she just seems to behave like a child that needs to go to charm school. In the words of Mark Nejame, "I am being overly generous in my characterization".

As I sit and watch my son's hair start to fall out (from chemo) I know without doubt I would trade places with him
He is my son.

Travis was a son, grandson, brother, and friend. How dare this B*^ch take that away.

Nothing but the DP is going to satisfy me. Nothing.

((Much love and healing to your son and to you Rosemary))

JA has no humanity and does not deserve to live a life, especially as the DP is the wish of Travis' family.

I believe I heard Jodi say (lie) she carried them around in her purse all the time so just happened to have them when she got to Travis's.

Which, of course, begs the question: why didn't she give them to TA before? If she had then in her purse and all...

Tiger/bear... gopher?

Watching again and noticing all the allusions, similes & metaphors JM used:

- Rainbow/over the rainbow imagery
- EBB quote "How do I love thee? Let me count the lies."
- Marriage allusion: "She said it, she's wedded to it."
- Wildebeest herd reference
- Smell of gasoline on your hands/MacBeth allusion

I'm sure there were more. I'm even more sure that the man is a genius. And a :hero:

Briefcase. She said they'd been in there forever, which is why they were scratched (paraphrasing)

The penalty phase is going to be very very difficult.
We are prolly going to see the gruesome pics again
We are going to hear from Travis's siblings & how his murder had affected their lives
It will be a very sad time

Evenin' Peeps! :seeya:

I am caught up on Juan's closing, not caught up on yesterday's testimony. Long day for me yesterday!

I was interested in the priceline information re: rental car vs airfare on her bank statements. I did not notice that before. After reading a few replies I see there was an error in the rental car testimony.

Juan did a great job today. His speculation regarding being without a license place and then putting in on in her haste leaving the house does make sense. She couldn't neccesarily drive without one, but then again in her 'fog' how was she capable.

Seems like court went into the evening yesterday. I am going to finish tonight.

Superb closing on the part of JM. Did anyone doubt he could wrap it all up like that?

Does JM get another closing argument after the DT tomorrow?

Also, what exactly is that mitigation specialist supposed to do anyway?

There are 2 Walmarts in Salinas. Nurmi is going to say she probably, by mistake, went to a different one to return the gas can. After all, they all look alike.

Juan's memorables: Got more?

The gopher, tiger and bear
The jury carrying Jodi's gas cans
He wasn't going to chase her outside naked.
Ornate liar (I sooo love that)
A horde of skateboarders (Unleash the skateboarders!)

Wildabeast migration on the carpet.

I loved JM's closing. The best I've ever seen. That being said, why didn't he talk about how painful the stabbing must have been and how heinous a crime it is? That very few murderers even would have the *whatever it is* to slit someone's throat from ear to ear?

He will bring up the horror of it all after KN gives his closing. And he'll tie it all together so they'll be no doubt what evilness she is.

I believe I heard Jodi say (lie) she carried them around in her purse all the time so just happened to have them when she got to Travis's.

and as Juan would say "R-I-I-I-I-I-I-G-T" . . . another one of Jodi's little untruths!

Catching up on Juan's closing. I'm really enjoying the internal monologue he's providing for the burglar who walked through Jodi Arias' grandparent's house. The picky burglar. Nice touch.

His "don't cha know" phrase reminds me of Ed Grimley. It's a great tone he's taking with this closing. He doesn't need to grandstand or be overly-dramatic or emotional. He's showing great restraint. Just laying out the facts with the appropriate amount of spin and direction for the jury. Anything more would draw attention away from the stone cold facts of the case itself.

There are some great lessons for actors in here.
