A 13-year-old boy in Denver, Colorado, was taken into custody this week after police allege he fatally shot a 60-year-old man on a bus following a disagreement over the man's "leg blocking the aisle," authorities said.

Oh, where did that 13 y/o get a weapon? And why did he do what he is accused of doing? Hoping that a counselor can find out more about this young teen.
So many weapons in the hands of children. SMH.

We don’t know what happened in this case, but it seems that many parents don’t see the need to secure their weapons or teach their kids peaceful conflict resolution or avoidance. This was so unnecessary and tragic.

And since when is 60 years old “elderly“ as stated in several articles? smh

The boy was arrested on Feb. 1 and is facing 14 charges including first-degree murder, Denver District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Maro Casparian said Wednesday.

“We balance the need for punishment with the opportunity to rehabilitate the juvenile. We are now in the process of making the decision in the case of the 13-year-old,” the DA’s office said in a statement.

No word yet on charging the parents?
