I don't know where you are talking about, but earlier this week on our hike with the dogs I was wearing a T-shirt
and jeans, no jacket! The snow hasn't been here that long in Colorado Springs this week.
The snow will melt too, and we will have days coming up in the 40's and 50's.

Maybe this is not a political motive, but rather a more personal motive. Maybe he's been rejected by women, hates women, maybe his gf didn't want his offspring, who knows...or as mentioned, just a nut job and used that as an excuse/outlet or whatever...he did choose that clinic though, and for that I'm curious.

(Another FTR, there have been some shootings on buildings and medical facilities with an automatic weapon within our "hot zone". We have pictures of the gunfire damage in the NoCo threads.)

Good point about the building shootings on or about 9/12/15 in NoCO. They were the Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, the Cottonwood Plains Elementary School, and the Centura Dacono Neighborhood Health Center. We don't know much about those incidents. Bullets hit at those buildings at some point over that weekend, without anyone noticing it immediately. One photo shows two well grouped sets of three shots in a single window, suggesting someone with experience and an automatic rifle - an "AK47 style" weapon, as some articles have described Deer's weapon. Here's how they map. The orange stars are the building attacks, the red teardrop is for the Planned Parenthood attack, and the little house is for Dear's home in Hartsel.

Note to post FBI/military members warning bulletin(s)...were those out of Springs? For reference, the PP is close to a military facility, as is NoCo, again not saying they're connected, just saying for reference. Anyway, I'm getting overloaded again so going to go read those comments that I'm not supposed to read hahaha (that's like "don't look now, but...", then immediately looks over there, then your friend goes I said don't look omg...)

Just like we do on NAMUS, I'm requesting a rule out on this guy as one of our NOCO shooters. There's actually a lot that could fit jmo, Garden of the Gods (shootings and explosives in parking lot, AK on the medical building, proximity to I25, the fact he trAve led a significant dI stance (over an hour). Of course there is no shortage of nut jobs so maybe this is an "isolated incident"...so did he just "snap"? Is that what happens with these "rampage shooters"?

Remember, I've said those incidents seemed like taunting to me, a possible warning of what's to come. Those were fired at night, etc etc, when nobody was there, a medicAL building...with an AK/47. (It equally could have been gangs or who knows what else) but you know me, just saying "for reference". Again, I really am trying to be conscious of not crossing over different thread lines, but you know how it is, in a mp case if there's another "attempted abduction" in the area, you have to look at it. And like searching an area, you have to try to rule it out. And we've been studying these shootings for mooonths...but I've become skeptical and hopeless in the sense that there are so many incidents/nut jobs we've seen so maybe it's not him.

I think of other felons we have seen here on WS whose convictions didn't stop them from owning weapons, iirc Wesley Hadsell, etc, etc...

Sorry I'm way behind so I hope I'm not repeating this if it was said already but convictions may stop someone from legally owning a gun but it's in no way going to stop someone from getting one illegally. It's one of the easiest things to do and one of the reasons I am against banning guns, the only people who are going to follow a gun ban are people who follow the law. Those who couldn't give a damn about the law will just get them through the black market. It's not like they're all just going to disappear if we outlaw them. If this guy was determined enough he was going to get a weapon no matter what.

I'll say one more thing about NoCo and I'll leave it at that because again, do not want to cross threads/ot, but re: THIS thread and THIS suspect, I ask, can he possibly be tied to any of these incidents on these dates? Did he ever come up this way?

The state of Colorado does have real winters.
Different areas of Colorado equal different results at times.
The mountains can get more snow than other areas that are not as high in elevation.
I am not a Native, but I got here as fast as I could!
I have lived here over 30 years now.
I lived through the blizzard of '97 and '03, too. So yeah, we do get snow here in Colorado Springs,
but we also get a nice mild winter compared to other places.
Another reason to highlight the love of Colorado Springs.

Planned Parenthood Shooting Suspect Made Comment About 'No More Baby Parts': Sources

The day after a gunman killed three people and shot nine others at a Colorado Planned Parenthood office, officials tell NBC News a motive remains unclear, but say the suspect talked about politics and abortion.

Robert Lewis Dear, a North Carolina native who was living in a trailer in Colorado, made statements to police Friday at the scene of the Colorado Springs clinic and in interviews that law enforcement sources described as rantings.

In one statement, made after the suspect was taken in for questioning, Dear said "no more baby parts" in reference to Planned Parenthood, two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case told NBC News...

Yes, Margarita25, IMO, he has killed before, and on more than one occasion.. Dear has all the prerequisites of a serial killer/mass murderer and has likely been escalating for decades. Notoriety was/is likely his ultimate goal in the Planned Parenthood standoff, imo.
I find it very curious that approximately half of Dear's targeted gunshot victims were Law Enforcement Officers.

Hating Obama and Planned Parenthood is probably pretty common these days. And most of the people who hate those things aren't going to go around killing people.

We will never be inside this guy's head. But he's clearly messed up. Normal people don't kill others (except maybe in self-defense and whatnot.) This guy has problems. Some people are just killers. Sad, but true.

I don't feel the need to blame politics or gun laws or problems with our mental health system. I think in most cases...little can be done for the types of people who will do these evil things.

I have a pair sitting next to me and a pair in the kitchen I grab to take outside or look out the front of the house, the next home on either side is over a mile away so it's not like they or I are looking in windows. jmo idk
