Hi all - I live a few blocks from Syntax. This case has been on my mind since coming home from the holidays and seeing the posters (they're all over our neighborhood). I'm roughly Adam's age - he could easily have been any number of my friends. I run my dog regularly in Wash park. If this forum needs any information on the area that would help the case, let me know. My only comment is the speculation on the lakes in Wash Park - they're pretty shallow and they're also not that close to Syntax. Good luck to the folks searching on Saturday!!
Smith Lake looks big but I don't think it's deep - based on our runs there in the summer I think you'd have to wade out pretty far to be fully submerged? The lake on the opposite end of the park (Grasmere) seems a bit deeper.
Its so good to have another local join us. Welcome, and thank you so much for sharing your perspective.
Please, please know that I am not trying to be argumentative; rather, I just wanted to share some information Ive found:
Some starts on thd lakes:
South/Grasmere (Surface Area: 16.5 acres; Max Depth: ~ 10 ft): https://www.denvergov.org/content/da...e2014FINAL.pdf
Smith (Surface Area: 18 acres; Max Depth: ~ 10 ft):

Also there was a case of a gentleman who was found deceased in Grasmere Lake back in 2010:
He said the coroners office told him his brothers body may have been in the lake as long as eight weeks and may have been frozen for much of that time.
The coroner has found no evidence of bruising or blunt trauma on his brothers body, Burt Wichek said.
Wicheks body was spotted by city workers carrying out water quality tests in the lake. The body was about 20 feet from shore in three feet of water.

I tried to find out if it was ever determined whether the gentlemans body was placed there by a third party or it was a case of suicide, but couldnt find anything.
By the way, Google Maps suggests three different walking routes from Suntax to Grasmere Lake, and all three take you south on S Broadway first:

As a local, do you think these are reasonable suggestions? Since Adams apartment is located northeast of Syntax, if he was captured on camera heading south on S Broadway, that could be considered opposite direction of his apartment, IMO. But if he was seen heading west (towards the big box store across the street), then it becomes more likely that he was heading somewhere other than Wash Park, IMO.
Does anyone know whether it has been reported whether he was seen crossing S Broadway? Im sorry if it has and I missed it!
